About this deal

Swain, Kenny I went to Ruffwood School and teacher training college with Kenny and was always one year ahead of him, consequently, I only got to know him when he joined the 6th form and our time at Shoreditch College. A Game Of Three Halves tells the tale of the man who quit teaching to sign for Chelsea, the glamour club of the 1970s, and then moved on to Aston Villa where - having converted from striker to a full-back role - he played an integral part in winning the First Division championship and the 1982 European Cup win. He achieved success later in his career, adding to the league title and European Cup winner's medals at Aston Villa with a Second Division runners-up medal at Portsmouth in 1987, and achieving promotion in third place with Crewe from the Fourth Division in 1989.

Between 2002 and 2004, Swain was Director of Football at Thomas Telford School and scouted for a number of clubs. Swain was right back in the Villa team that won the League title – the old first division before the Premier League arrived – in the 1980-81 season under manager Ron Saunders and the side that won the European Cup in 1982 under Tony Barton. I love being a part of this club, love being captain, love everything this club stands for both on and off the pitch. oth = other competitive matches such as Full Members Cup, Charity/Community Shield, Fifa World Club Cup.The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. With Villa, Swain was switched to full-back and was a part of the team which won the league championship and European Cup in consecutive seasons. The defence was never the same because with all due respect to the young lad who came in the experience was obviously not there. The left hand column shows League appearances and goals scored for each club as well as the League record of the club for each season the player was there. With the Under 16s, Kenny coached the side to victories in the Victory Shield nine out of ten years and the Montaigu and Nordic Tournaments. He added he has nurtured many of the current England players through the system to provide the core of the squad.

However, if you offer a relevant product or service that may interest our readership, we are open to bribery and corruption. I can only think that the manager Tony Barton was under pressure to drop the wage bill and that was why Kenny went. Today, Kenny works in the England set-up, heading up the FA's talent ID programme, and has helped develop players such as Michael Owen, Joe Cole and Danny Welbeck. Clubs played for: Chelsea, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, West Bromwich Albion, Crewe Alexandra.

He was captain and an integral part of the team until his final months and his departure left, according to Swain, a ‘sour taste’ in his mouth. Swain, Kenny When Kenny was at Chelsea a good many years ago I had the privilege to play with him for a local Sunday league side for just one game. He did not talk to Ball for 15 years but hearing about Ball’s wife having cancer he phoned Alan and they had a very good chat for an hour – something Swain has always been pleased about, especially as his hero as a player Ball had a premature death in 2007.Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. We make sure that all our signed items are either collected at our own signing sessions or through a limited number of trusted partners who we've dealt with over many years and are respected within the industry. I never quite understood why Villa sold him to Nottingham Forest in the October after we won the European Cup.
