About this deal

The feet are wide set in the default position, but there's a narrow position if you have a small table and aren't planning on wall-mounting it. Hisense has been growing in popularity over the years, and even though they started as more of a budget company, they're competing with bigger brands now. Judder with 24p movie sources can look a touch strong without any motion processing in play, but the Clear and Film motion options both massage away the hardest judder effects without making the image look unnaturally slick or throwing up lots of unwanted side effects.

Any shot that isn’t pretty much blazingly bright ends up having its depth flattened, its colours shifted and its contrast hammered by the cloying greyness that hangs over everything.

That model lacks the Pro version’s advanced gaming support (in fact, it only has a 60Hz panel versus the 120Hz panel of the Pro) and uses a much less powerful audio system and an older version of Hisense’s VIDAA smart platform. This leads to an HDR image that is more vibrant, lifelike, and has highlights that pop when compared to the Q60B. It has excellent contrast and a good full array local dimming feature, so it looks amazing in a dark room, even if it's not as good as the Mini LED backlight on the higher-end Hisense. Unfortunately, like the Hisense U8/U8H, it's difficult to calibrate quickly, as small changes to some areas made others worse. The Hisense U7H is a slight improvement compared to its predecessor, the Hisense U7G, but the differences are relatively minor.

Starting with the promising fact that the screen is built on a VA rather than IPS panel (hopefully meaning better contrast) but features wide-angle technology to compensate for VA’s usual viewing angle shortcomings. It also has a sub-par viewing angle, so it's not a good choice for sitting up close, as the sides of the screen appear non-uniform. The E7HQ leaves nothing to be desired in terms of picture technology, but also in terms of music, thanks to Dolby Audio. This is because they reduce the intensity of bright image highlights, leaving you with fewer distractions from the grey mush elsewhere.Wrapping the interesting stuff up is built-in Dolby Atmos decoding supported by an eARC HDMI that can ship lossless Atmos to compatible soundbars or AV receivers. We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for two months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. The U7H is also the better option for watching content in a dark room, as it has better contrast and a local dimming feature. Bring the cinema experience home with compatibility for all of the newest HDR formats, including HDR10+ and Dolby VisionTM. Hisense new VIDAA U5 Smart TV System allows you to watch all of your favourite shows and movies from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and Freeview Play, as well as operate your TV with your speech using VIDAA Voice.

If you regularly watch low-quality and low-resolution content, the Sony is much better for that due to its better processing capabilities. This TV analyses and reconfigures images to avoid juddering and deliveres smooth motion, Dolby Atmos provides incredible audio- so you can immerse yourself into shows, sports and games, game mode helps reduce lag and ultra dimming technology helps to improve both light and dark scenes by improving the contrast. The Hisense looks much better in a dark room thanks to its much higher contrast ratio, much better black uniformity, and effective local dimming feature. The Hisense U7H and the Sony X90K are similar TVs that perform slightly better than each other in different situations. The bezels surrounding the screen are minimal - even the one across the bottom, which carries some branding and what passes for a design flourish at either end, is discreet. system with 40W of power and support for both hi-res digital audio formats and Dolby Atmos soundtracks. Visibility is good in a bright room thanks to its excellent SDR peak brightness and good reflection handling, so you don't have to worry about glare. The Hisense QLED series E7HQ in 4K resolution is equipped with Quantum Dot technology, which allows the television to display a higher colour space and purer colours.

Its 144Hz refresh rate is optimised for use with current-generation games consoles - and two of its four HDMI inputs are at full-on HDMI 2. HDR also looks much better on the U7H due to its wider color gamut, much better color volume, higher HDR peak brightness, and better PQ EOTF tracking, so HDR content is more accurate, more vibrant and lifelike, and bright highlights pop much more than on the Samsung. Unfortunately, like the Hisense U8/U8H, it doesn't work well with NVIDIA graphics cards, as there's tearing with test patterns and games.

Dolby Vision the advanced HDR inspired by cinema technology, makes your home entertainment more powerful and dramatic.
