While we mainly stuck with keeping it as one drawer – feeding around four people with chips, chicken wings, rice dishes and much more – the option to turn it into two was great when cooking two separate meals or different side options. I received this appliance and have tested it for just over a week now and am amazed with the results. Use the 2-tier reversible rack to cook mains and sides at the same time, perfect for layering vegetables, rice and grains with meat or fish.

As well as being deep and large enough to fit half a chicken and plenty of chips, it’s wifi-enabled, and connects to the NutriU app, meaning it can be controlled from your phone and Alexa. Plus, it has an impressive seven cooking modes that can do everything from reheating and dehydrating to baking, roasting and even proving. The cooking temperature is approximately 180°C (160°C at the heart of the food) at the end of the cooking. Some models also have a function that allows you to toast and bake food, making them more like conventional ovens.

Rounding it all off are a convenient timer and dishwasher-safe parts for easy clean-up—meaning less time in the kitchen and more time with the ones you love! For those who already have one, we don’t need to convert you to this cooking machine, and for anyone still sitting on the fence, let us fill you in on why they’re so popular. Stand-out functions of this Ninja Foodi model are the slow cooking, air-crisping and dehydrating options. The trays do not have a handle to get them out so some sort of oven glove is needed to stop you burning yourself, the steak/pizza tray does have a handle.
