This is a lovely book filled with fabulous Christmas cheer that chick lit and romance fans will adore .Meanwhile, Angie sees a new side of him as he shares Christmas traditions with her, her son Pepe, and her extended family. First of all, this is so heartwarming, packed with lovable characters, Christmas traditions, and an unforgettable lesson to the reader. For example, Sam and Angie despite being both hardworking, they still have different qualities — the former can be prickly and the latter is nice — but Alas!An Unforgettable Christmas is an absolutely perfect and wonderful Christmas love story that I’ll never forget. Christmas is a time when I am personally reminded of loss, more loss than I care to think about, and when families collect in their hordes, that loss is amplified. Lucy wakes up with a wedding dress in hand and thinks she's late to her wedding with her ex-boyfriend Zach. This heart melting read filled with grief, loss ,hope and love mixed with the magic of christmas will leave you reminded of what really matters at christmas and everyday of the year! It is not raining in the close-up shots, and Lucy and Zach are not getting wet in either the long shots or close-ups. I love how Ginny Baird captured Angie’s home life and the way it is heavily influenced by her Puerto Rican heritage.That added a fun mix to the book, with some Spanish language sprinkled in, some Spanish food mentioned, etc. It's a wonderful Christmas story with a beautiful setting that will captive your imagination just like it did mine.

On a personal note, I loved this story even more for its setting: The beautiful mountains of Virginia, where I live less than an hour away from an historic, world-class resort and natural hot springs. This sweet Christmas read will bring a tear to your eye and joy to your heart no matter what month you read it. It’s set in a town where you can always bump at someone you know, or that the business establishments are owned by people who have known each other for a long time.
