About this deal

i can show you a pile of cheap Li-ion batteries for bike lights that crapped the bed in under a year of light use. It’s very easy to use and the battery life is solid, if not exceptional, at 1 hour 25 minutes on full power. With six XPL2 LEDs and 24 modes in total, the Exposure Six Pack is an impressive beast, reflected in its 406g weight. Some lights rely solely on an external battery pack to generate long run times, while others will have an internal battery with an optional external pack.

This feature worked well in day and night settings, certainly grabbing road users' attention, but it might not be the most pleasant experience for a driver behind in an urban setting. The LEDs give a mix of spotlight and wide-angle side illumination that’s good for a wide variety of trails.Battery and LED tech is improving all the time, and although lights with dedicated, separate battery packs will last longer than combined all-in-one units, the gap between the two is narrowing.

Stop riding, or cruise along a smooth section of trail, and the light dims slowly so your eyes can adjust. The rubber strap mount did the job fine, but the supplied out-front mount didn’t hold the light steady enough for our liking. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Run time at full power could be slightly better on both, but having larger batteries would naturally increase the size of the units, so it’s a bit of a trade-off.If you’ve tried everything above and it still won’t charge, there must be a fault with the battery unit or an intermittent connection within the cable. We often have battery packs for bicycle lights on sale or in our outlet by top brands like Sigma, Lupine, LedLenser and CatEye. The clamp is super easy to use and – while its real-world usefulness is questionable – the Bluetooth integration, which allows you to control the light via a Garmin or Di2 shifter, is fun. With a versatile clip mount for straps or tubes, plus a robust construction, the ZDM is a bikepacking winner.
