About this deal

We’ve already discussed what a Boarding Patrol detachment looks like, but if you want to get involved with a fresh force, check out these two new Boarding Patrol boxes. Forged from the genes of the Emperor’s Primarch sons, they are the pinnacle of combat prowess in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Created by the Emperor himself from the genetic material of his demigod Primarch sons, the Adeptus Astartes are the ultimate soldiers for a cruel and terrible age – unrivalled in storming the claustrophic corridors of a space hulk, or seizing control of hostile ships in frenetic boarding actions. Lead from the front with a powerful Captain in Gravis Armour wielding a boltstorm gauntlet and a choice of fearsome melee weapons – ideal for contesting the confines of an enemy vessel.

As well as The Despoiler, you also have ten Chaos Space Marine Legionaries who can be armed with a variety of weapons and then twenty Cultists who will simply be cannon fodder thrown in the way of oncoming fire. Today, we’re doing a deeper dive into the points of each box as well as some suggestions for next steps if you want to grow those forces into larger ones. The armour and weapon casings were all painted on the Friday evening, and everything else was completed in about 4-5 hours over Saturday morning. I would imagine it comes with 10 but you can only fit 5 into your Boarding Patrol for 500 points I would guess so they’ve shown that on the cover?Abaddon spearheads elements of his current campaign in person, and so the Chaos Space Marine Boarding Patrol includes the Despoiler himself , 10 Chaos Space Marine Legionaries , and 20 Cultists for you to cherry-pick your own patrol from. This Boarding Patrol pairs two Chaos Spawn with 20 Rubric Marines, bringing an impressive number of bodies and a pair of pskyers onto the board while the Spawn make a right mess of anything they encounter. Snikrot has three head options – mask off, mask up, or mask down – and you’ll be able to get him first in the upcoming Boarding Patrol: Orks.

Recently, GW released the Boarding Patrol box set for Space Marines, and I immediately saw it had some useful additions for my growing Dark Angels which would enable me to fill out a couple more squads for the Third Company. THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY, THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES and the names of the characters, items, events and places therein are trademarks of The Saul Zaentz Company d/b/a Middle-earth Enterprises under license to New Line Productions, Inc. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. They also don’t spend a lot of time winning, so Ork and Chaos players have to do something with that time and talent. The first of these sets for the Space Marines is led by a Primaris Captain In Gravis Armour who can be armed with a variety of different weapons.

Since I haven’t done 40K stuff in a long time, I volunteered to be the tour guide for people starting their Boarding Patrol and joining our challenge. Speaking of which, the Agastus box set comes out this week and I will be grabbing one for the Heavy Intercessors inside as well as the Brutalis Dreadnought. This was the coolest shit to me when I got my first army box (it had a Stormtalon and Sternguard in it – does anyone remember that one? For this challenge, I settled on this list (it’s actually 500 points once Arks of Omen is official). He’s joined at close quarters by 10 Assault Intercessors, each armed with a chainsword and heavy bolt pistol, who can be split into squads of five for navigating tight passageways.Ahead of them all, a rabid mob of 20 Chaos Cultists floods the passages of enemy vessels, clogging the foe's guns with each reckless charge.
