I'm not sure if I will be pursuing an ASD assessment just yet (at the age of 28, I'm not sure how much benefit I'd get from one), but I've found this book very helpful and comforting. brilliant book that is going to help many people understand autism more and help children with autism know they are not alone with not enjoying certain things that others seem to. I was 16 and wanted to help other kids like me to know they’re not alone and give them something to show their parents.

I found I could relate very strongly to a majority of the passages in the book, both in my life currently and from my childhood. It is a well written personal account explaining the way this individual experiences the world and what he does to help himself. If I had been given this book as a teenager, I'd have discovered I am autistic a lot sooner and potentially saved a lot of stress and unhappiness. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.I am going to suggest my son now read it to try and make him realise he is not alone with his struggles.
