I’ve never had much trouble with bleed through, but there are some pages where you can see a dark shadow of what’s on the page behind. When I discover a new gem I tend to dig deeper into the topic and grab both my study Bible and a commentary too.

Also a few words might be different from the regular Bible but I’m okay with cross referencing between this Bible and my smaller Bible.

I love all of the extra space for creating with a variety of mediums and products but this would also be great for those who love to take a ton of notes or journal out your prayers. This Bible is a must have if you’re concerned about covering the words, but want more space to journal in.In general, DaySpring and Illustrated Faith did an amazing job with the latest release, and I’m so thankful they asked me to review it. Perhaps this is tiny damage in view of what is likely to happen when I start painting in it, because it it unwieldy and the pages don’t turn easily. Pages are 75% thicker than normal journaling Bibles to reduce bleed-through and 3" wide margins with blank space for journaling and creativity. There are currently 33 Bibles sitting on my desk right now that I actively Bible journal in, one on my nightstand, a few on my bookshelf, two in the safe (family heirlooms), and a few in my tiny art studio.
