I brought this for my best man at my wedding, the whisky is gorgeous and the glasses are an excellent quality. Matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years and bottled at 48% ABV, this single malt offers a delightfully intense and fruity. Most whisky brands stick to making either sweet or smoky spirits, but Isle of Jura produces both to reflect the nature of the island. Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is a blend of exclusive rum reserves aged for up to twelve years, carefully selected by our Master Blenders.

Aromas of raisins, butterscotch and sweet spices fill the nose, and the palate offers notes of dark chocolate, orange peel, banana, raisins and caramel. There is a very subtle smokey aftertaste, which is something I particularly look for being a fan of Islay malts, but the smokeyness isn't as strong as the Jura Prophecy.
