Smokey, fresh, citrus/pineapple mix is the best way to describe this (which most would say is pretty much Aventus). An hour in comes the best part - the drydown, which I can describe as a fresh, fruity and smoky scent. Aventus has a citrus to it (at least my 2017 bottle does--more so than my 2012 bottle), but there's it's more subtle and the green apple and pineapple are more prominent to my nose. The bergamot and lemon and the most prominent citrus notes, sour, sharp, and very fresh; the elemi adds a fresh, spicy, and resinous touch, but soft; the woody notes are also noticeable, they add a smoky accord that blends well with the elemi and citrus notes. Once Al Haramain L’Aventure Men EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, woody, and smoky fragrance with soft citrus accords.
