I think this focus on application makes this a great Bible for anyone who wants to take the message of the Bible seriously, but I particularly think it’s great for young people, seekers, and new believers. The notes begin with helping the reader understand Gods Word, then shows how to apply what God is teaching to everyday life. The living language and precise scholarship of the New Living Translation make this Bible a great choice for serious study and application of Scripture. There are so many notes and in such a wide variety I would recommend any new reader of the Life Application Study Bible at least look over the 10-page introduction at the front of the Bible. There are maps at the back, and a small section at the back of the bible that will allow us to look up a word we saw in the bible, but need help finding that particular scripture. Charts and diagrams help readers visualize different concepts and relationships and their significance in the book, throughout the Bible and in our lives.

From beginning to end, it contains family information for you to fill in (marriages, births, deaths, etc. Anyway I started reading my new to me NLT which is the Large print slimline “crown of thorns” edition. If you’re interested in a Bible that will help you apply God’s word to your life, then the Life Application Study Bible would be a great addition to your Bible library. The notes on all the verses are so helpful and informative as are the life application notes with them. It also includes a brief application-focused summary to help you understand why this book is important today.We always recommend that readers remember to take the Biblical text over anything found within notes. Book introductions give quick visual cues to what each book is about including vital statistics, a timeline, and an easy to understand outline of the main events, stories, and themes throughout the event. Also, to be super-practical, the "personal size" bit is true: this Bible is small enough that you can take it anywhere.
