This pair of headphones is easy to use thanks to fully rotating ear cups and an adjustable headband that combine to make for a great seal. Leather wraps around the headband, soft textured plastic coats the subtly sculpted earcups, and the white script-style Marshall logo stands out starkly against the textured black. The sound quality is good enough for my non-audiophile ears, and the Active Noise Cancellation is acceptable. We’d have liked the soundstage to feel wider – they don’t exactly feel closed off, but some tracks demand more space to let the instrumentation ‘breathe’.

Behind the hard shell of these headphones, however, there is a soft core, especially the padding, which extends under the black imitation leather of the headband over its entire length.
