About this deal

One dead end in the film, which isn’t really a criticism, is the new 007, who is now a skilled and capable woman. Piers Bronson's version was, but this film seems like a collection of scenes just stuck together and only a few of it 'new'.

The film did not go as I thought it would though I did know Craig was bailing out of the Bonds’ well for me not a bad film and as always they get the settings right .

His old friend, Felix Leiter shows up on the island, looking for a favour, when that scientist pops up again in Cuba. But Daniel Craig just had that gritty, "is he on our side, or is he on theirs" uncertainty that makes him A-1 in Bond portrayers. It’s not always noticeable in the image but it is consistently present and looks natural and free from any digital tinkering or other noise introduced into the transfer.

It’s a film packed with the action that you’d expect from the franchise, the kind of doomsday scenario and villain’s lair that the last few films have been rather tentative about, finally embracing what the earlier Bonds did with tedious regularity by the end, yet when it comes to character arcs, this is the most personal story yet. In my opinion if Sean Connery had been Bond in OHMSS then we would all think it was the best Bond film ever. Keeping It Real: The Action of No Time to Die (2160p, 6:15): Looking at making the practical action sequences in the film. Following the yellow stain of Spectre, I was glad to see that No Time To Die had a more subtle approach to its colour grading.James Bond (Daniel Craig) has retired from service and is trying to put a life together with his longtime love Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux). It is prioritised nicely in the mix, but never overtly so, retaining a lovely place in the overall sound mix. Despite the film’s process in establishing his back story in the opening scene, his motives never really quite make sense; certainly feeling a little too comic book for the more realistic take that the Craig films have chosen.

Lines are razor sharp and how they show the minutiae of the image, from clothing textures to the fine lines on Craig’s craggy features is superb. Home Entertainment's Dune (2021) topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts, and with assistance from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Halloween Kills, which debuted in second place . And finally, disc compression appears to be consistent and good, with no noticeable artefacts observed – bit rates hover between 25- and 35mbps for the most part across the entire film, with the odd peak nudging 45mbps, all of which were observed with a quick scan through the film’s playback information for those that like numbers. And letting the dust settle on this legacy of Craig’s, what’s perhaps most interesting is that his Bond, from his very first film and especially through to his epic conclusion here, is very much an emotional beast, governed more by his feelings for three women than the more traditional notion of an endless treadmill of megalomaniacal uber villains.

Thank you Zavvi for your excellent service, making sure it is packaged correctly and getting here safely and on time. This Company does not however exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.

Daniel Craig's portrayal of James Bond is as captivating as ever, bringing depth and emotion to the character we all love. encoded; even approaching three hours in length there's not a trace of encode artifacts to be found. For more about No Time to Die 4K and the No Time to Die 4K Blu-ray release, see No Time to Die 4K Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on December 9, 2021 where this Blu-ray release scored 4. They can’t do this approach again, and will have to reinvent the character from the ground up once more, and more importantly, they can’t go back to how Bond was made in the Brosnan era and before, as audiences have seen that they can do better.

Extras: Language(s): English, Italian, Hard of Hearing Subtitles: English, Subtitles: Italian, Interactive Menu, Screen ratio 1:2. For the week that ended on January 8th, it's déjà vu all over again as Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's No Time to Die remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for a third week, while once again, second and third place on . The story unfolds at quite a lick, there are plenty of twists and turns in the plot, plenty of globetrotting to do, and a lot of narrative to cover. Although this steelbook release is very cool, sadly the blu ray side of this set does not include any extras.
