About this deal

I love this author but the book's color choices make it hard to read and harder to use in the kitchen. Richard Makin packs each recipe with simple tricks for maximising flavour and genius vegan 'hacks' you'll wonder how you ever coped without.

I've made a sweet potato mash in the past but never thought about putting ginger in the dish and that spice added just the right little something to round it out. It’s American cooking at its worst (and please don’t get me wrong I’ve lived in New York and eaten at some brilliant places). A great book for those just venturing into vegan cooking, but also for others looking to expand their repertoire. But the book isn't only for meat eaters looking for a better way to live-Moskowitz wants to get vegans to start cooking more so that they can worry less about what they can and cannot eat. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Both times I stuffed them into pitas along with the tabbouleh and tzatziki for an on the go lunch as the author advised as an alternative to a salad. If you are making a stew with beans, lentils, and pasta that's just way too many carbs for one meal.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I love the photos for each recipe and being over 40 I also don’t mind the huge text as I don’t need reading glasses for it. The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address. Not only are the ingredients lists often in hard to read colors, but are often in fonts so tiny when half the page is unused. She's transformed the way I cook as a old vegan and she always has the perfect recipe for whatever ingredients I have on hand.Yes, there are a few repeats and overlapping recipes concepts with her other cookbooks but it's not something that bothered me considering all of the other delicious items that were "new" to me. I’m especially excited to add tofu into the mix and she has some delightful ideas that have me ready to roll. It's got a bunch of recipes, easy to follow, and it includes that style of writing that Isa has put into each of her books. I kept yearning to hear more respect out of this author’s language, but I suppose we each have our own ceremonies and rituals when it comes to preparing the bounty of food. One thing I would have liked to have seen in the book are recommendations for mains to go with sides or salads and sides to go with mains.
