About this deal

I feel like games like this might not always get the recognition they deserve, whether that’s because they are seen as too simple, said to be very juvenile, or be based on a concept that doesn’t seem interesting enough to play. My almost 6 year old seemed to enjoy it, my 3 year old didn't have a clue but considering it's aimed at age 8+ there is no surprise! Great for involving different generations, this version includes cards that are appropriate for players as young as 8 years old.

Though in the end, Oskar was the winner with only two lives lost, so he would have won either way even if he had also only had three lives! Family fun game with two levels of questions for adults and children, spin the spinner to decide if you get a question or physical challenge, with added challenges along the way!

That includes having bigger boxes to have a more visible place on the board game shelf, and, of course, having appealing components, which one could argue, Baffled has. By signing up you agree to Crafty Arts Ltd using your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Game play time can range between 15 and 40 minutes, plus Baffled is cleverly designed so that every player has an equal chance of winning, as its not about your wisdom and smarts, it's about remembering where you last saw the symbols. If you land on the symbol square you have to find that symbol by lifting the covering piece, if you are wrong you lose a life.

This is a fun, fast-paced game which helps to improve memory skills and gets everyone feeling a little bit Baffled. Great gift choice for the auntie (or Uncle) who’s not sure what their nephews and nieces are playing with - I’ve not got it wrong yet ?We found it was easier with the children to not use the scoring rack and cards and just play the guessing game, it was just as much fun for them finding items and hiding them in the box and laughing in hilarity at our guesses. It also helps reinforce many other skills alongside memory skills, such as numeracy (counting the number on the dice and moving the counters) and literacy (the tiles are placed on letters of the alphabet).

And while friends may come and go, a good board game like Baffled will more than last you a lifetime. Around the edge of the board is a typical board game style path for players to work their way around based on throws of the die. You find an object, keep it secret from the other player/s and hide it in the box, the guesser then has a certain amount of guesses to try and decide what's in the box. They are shuffled around and each one placed in the white square in front of the letters on the board. The last player standing takes the trophy, but as you’ll find out, having the best memory only gets you so far as the other players scramble to swap, deceive, and steal the victory! In just 60 seconds you must memorize the position of the twelve symbol tiles… BUT prepare to be Baffled as the symbols constantly swap and change positions around the board!

We have recipes to cook at home and review books, toys and games too, and feature the free family events and activities happening across North East England. What Baffled brings to the game is the board with different action squares and the plastic covers that hide the tiles, yet the necessity of these elements is questionable. We’re pretty sure she would, but there’s also an edge of fear as we know what a good memory and eye for detail she can have!
