While there are some obvious differences between Sycomore EDT and EN a l’Extreme (ENALE), I am very glad that I made this purchase. I prefer this and EN Sport over the OG, and this is a very economical alternative to fill the GPH I slot. And it is simpler and a bit more linear, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you love the main accord as much as I do.I'll stick to the original after this bottle is gone but it's worth a try if it sounds interesting to you.

The bottle is nothing but a masterpiece; a half-black, half-transparent flacon containing the rich cognac hued scent, finished off with a smooth, matte wooden cap. My only regret is that didn’t have this have one sooner to wear while mourning lost loves as I wonder the damp evening streets alone after an early autumn snow.

I know almost everyone says here it's for fall/winter but I'm gonna give it a try in the summer too considering it smells rather citrusy fresh on my skin.

Haven't smelled sycomore, but I can safely say this is high quality and you get a lot more than you pay for, I doubt that is the case for any chanel exclusiff. Projection, longevity on my skin was exactly as you can find in many of the reviews, but suddenly the perfume started to underperform? Perfumista is in no way affiliated with, or working in any form of partnership with, the brand owner. The first hour you get nice projection then it goes close to the skin and later on kind of comes back for some reason, which is odd but cool too.I think that encapsulates A l'Extreme's uses: as a novelty which effortlessly evokes the image of death and decay. In sum, I love ENALE both for the ways in which it is similar to Sycomore (EDT) and for the ways in which it differs.
