a b Sheffield, Rob (2 November 2004). "Pink Floyd: Album Guide". Rolling Stone. Wenner Media, Fireside Books. Archived from the original on 17 February 2011 . Retrieved 27 December 2014. The other songs are pretty good as well – the first three being far better than the last two of Side A, which feel slightly uninspired. And I don't know who decided to put footage of football chants on the end of “Fearless” but it was an incredible decision. Bizarre, yes, but incredible as well. This isn't one of the great Pink Floyd canon albums to me, but it shows that they're getting there. And it's hard to argue with that really, isn't it?

Cush, Andy (12 July 2020). "Pink Floyd: Meddle". Pitchfork. Archived from the original on 15 July 2020 . Retrieved 21 July 2020. Part of Floyd's massive success with Dark Side of the Moon was their tendency to sample sounds that - as incongruent as they might have been at first listen - somehow perfectly accompanied the music they made. We get a taste of that on Fearless as the Liverpool FC iconic supporter chant "You'll Never Walk Alone" features at a couple of points during the song, including the outro. YNWA may be something of a cliche 45 years later, (and I write as most certainly not a fan of that particular football club!) but Floyd obviously saw something in it before it became almost annoyingly ubiquitous. This was some years before the Kop would be watching their heroes clean up trophies both domestically and abroad. Once again, Waters and co were well ahead of their time. If the band felt the story held any resonance with their own personal trials, they didn’t show it overtly. “Fearless” ends with a recording of a football crowd bellowing out the anthem of Liverpool F.C., framing its tale of perseverance with the simple good feeling of an underdog defeating a rival. Mason could never understand Waters’ insistence on this strange coda, especially given that the bassist was a devoted Arsenal supporter. Maybe his affinity was for the familial sentiment of the song itself, a Rodgers and Hammerstein show tune adopted by Liverpool fans after a local group turned it into a pop hit, rather than its sporting context. “Walk on with hope in your heart,” fans can be heard singing as “Fearless” fades out, “and you’ll never walk alone.” Excellente qualité de pressage, pas de bruit de surface sur les blancs ni sur les plages musicales, et ce qui est rare ni aucun craquement, pourvu que cela dure.
