About this deal

There’s no OFF switch for this bladeless fan, however, so you have to cycle through to the high speed to turn the fan off. Online reviewers have also remarked on the beeping that sounds when they change the settings – this noise can’t be turned off. Pros Speaking of settings, you have the choice of three wind speeds (the usual low, medium and high) and four wind types – Normal, Natural, Sleep and Child. The Child wind type is especially quiet. The timer lasts for up to 12 hours in one-hour increments; this is longer than any other bladeless fan timer we encountered and is good news if you’re out of the home all summer’s day and want to have a cool place to come home to.

All of the bladeless fans we review offer a choice of at least three airspeeds: low, medium or maximum. These may be called different names but they’re essentially three levels of airflow whose strength depends on the power of the fan. Wind type The controls of the ZUVO bladeless fan are all manual, there’s no remote control. The top of the control panel has the timer dial in 20-minute increments up to 2 hours; below this are four buttons: OFF (ON is on the timer dial), and one for each of the three speeds (low to high). Below this is a single dial that controls the fan’s movement – press it in for the 90° arc oscillation and leave it out for the fan to remain stationary. That’s it – operating this fan is easy and straightforward.Dimensions: 36.7 x 12 x 12 inches | Settings: 4 speeds | Timer: 3 to 12 hours | Remote: Yes | Oscillation: Yes; 180 degrees | Noise range: 33.8 to 55.5 decibels Do you enjoy a cool glass of wine? Why not consider storing your wine in a modern LED wine fridge, read my review guide here Sharper Image Axis 16 Desktop Airbar Tower Fan: This pint-sized tower fan is designed for use on a desk or a table, and it can be tilted to blow air vertically or horizontally. While this mini fan produced impressive airflow for such a petite device, it emitted noisy, buzzy sounds during operation. It also doesn’t have an oscillation feature like the quieter Honeywell QuietSet Mini Tower Table Fan. Dimensions: 44.1 x 10.4 x 10.4 inches | Settings: 10 speeds, plus Diffusion, Direct and Wide settings | Timer: 1 to 12 hours | Remote: Yes | Oscillation: Yes; 45, 60, 90 and 140 degrees | Noise range: 35.3 to 50.8 decibels

This bladeless fan has 3-speed settings Low Medium and High and 3 different wind flow types Normal, Natural, Sleeping. All the settings can be controlled from the remote controller degrees left and right oscillation flows air to every corner of the area. Built-in timer can be set up to 12 hours. After the timer finishes it automatically turns off. VARIOUS SPEED SETTINGS: This fan comes with three speed settings (high, medium and low) and three wind types (normal, natural and sleep) which allows you to stay in control of the temperature and power meaning it is suitable for all cooling needs. While smart features certainly aren’t essential to the operation of a tower fan, they can make using the device a more seamless experience. With most Wi-Fi-enabled fans, you’re able to control the device using an app on your smartphone, which can come in handy if you’re sitting across the room and want to adjust the fan’s airflow. It’s true that most tower fans include a remote control that can perform these functions just as well, but using the app means that you don’t have to keep the remote by your side as you go about your daily tasks. You do have a choice of three airspeeds – quiet, normal and turbo. We don’t know if turbo here equates to other models’ maximum speeds, but it is a catchy term. The 7.5-hour timer is a little quirky too; you have the choice of 30 minutes, one hour, two hours or four hours, or any combination of these, adding up to a maximum of 7.5 hours. This NETTA bladeless fan gives you a choice of both speed and wind types. Choose from high, medium and low-speed settings for normal, natural and sleep wind types. The normal wind type is a constant stream of air; the natural type blows soft and more assertive streams to mimic nature, and we were unable to find out what the sleep-wind type actually does. There’s a handy ion mode for those with allergies that keep the dust down. Most recently for Forbes Vetted, I tested and reviewed the best portable air conditioners. My work has also appeared on The Spruce, MyDomaine and U.S. News & World Report. The air cooling ability of a fan is also affected by how much airflow it can create over a given time. The measuring unit of airflow is CFMs (cubic feet per minute).
