For me the MLT100 is a good choice, I can’t afford a professional saw and I don’t have enough very much space.

There is almost no vibration on the blade and the measurements printed on the saw are close to spot on. On tool storage holds commonly used accessories including: TCT saw blade, Rip fence, Miter gauge etcFor hobbyists, the situation is very much the same with the only real difference being that as hobbyists, we try and scale down a bit from the large, high powered cabinet saws often used by professionals. The Makita mlt100 table saw makes noise, especially when starting, whereas 2704 does not make vibrations. The rip capacity has a sub-table that can accommodate an 8×4 ft sheet. Walking into a store the MLT 100 will definitely draw your attention. Largely covered in the brands signature blue, you don’t need to be a power tool connoisseur to be able to identify this saw from across a room as a Makita. The height adjustment action is of the smoothest and most effortless that I’ve experienced on a saw in the MLT 100‘s price range.
