About this deal
These may be the most comfortable IEMs I’ve ever worn, and they just feel more rugged than normal IEMs while remaining very lightweight. The A5000 also has less sharpness/sibilance on the highs – it’s pretty painful on the Blessing 2, though still not the worst I’ve heard.
Final Audio A5000 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head
Vocals, snare drums, guitars – any mid range part that commonly composes the backbone of a mix – sit with a classy and highly intelligible realism.A4000: Sweet sub-bass, a lot of electric bass recovery but sometimes it gets overwhelming, mid-bass a little dry for some electric music, timbre and tonality are great, some priority to voices over instruments (when not overwhelmed by electric bass lol), highs not very bright, not fatiguing, but some sibilances made me crazy sometimes (I’m VERY sensitive to sibilances so shouldn’t be a problem for a lot of people), great soundstage and precise imaging. While it has a more angular character to it than the Moondrop Blessing 3, the edges on the corners of the housing round out at the key points that make light contact with a listener’s outer ear. The A5000 has a more typical fit for an IEM: an acoustic nozzle protrudes from its small ABS resin housing, which rests comfortably in the ear by filling up a listener's concha. The A5000 is a very spacious listen, giving the listener a grand sense of scale that is done quite well. Technicalities: Great soundstage and imaging (bigger and better than A4000 in some songs), loved them for gaming, detail is nice, some micro detail recovery but it’s not a really detailed IEM, instrument separation is great, never sounded congested to me, overall great technicalities but not the clinical sounding type. For an IEM that sits so lightly in my ears, and features such crisp and airy highs, it was quite a surprise when the A5000 finally hit me with the full force of its subs and mid bass. Wheile this might now be one for absolute bassheads, it's something I'd easily recommend for almost everyone else. If you really want to see where these two Final Audio in-ears find their major differences, we'll have to jump into their balances.
