Paste: A running theme in the first arc of InSEXts involves Lady finding a balance between her human and inhuman aspects. Reading Animosity, it seems like you’re exploring a different aspects of those same themes. If you’ve never heard of a weta, you’re in for a real scare. The Giant Weta is one of the largest insects in the world. In addition, it has the heaviest weight record. It can weigh up to 2.5 ounces, though most weta isn’t quite that massive. Image credit: https://www.doc.govt.nz/ Bennett: Form follows function, so there have been stories that I’ve wanted to tell that I realize only work as prose or only work as comics or only work as film or something else altogether. Comics has been an influence in making me carefully consider what medium serves a story best. The zero reaction in IMDb reflects the thud registered when Mond belatedly followed up ZAZEL with INSEXTS, released by the ClubJenna label of superstar Jenna Jameson, who personally has nothing to do with the results on screen. Maybe if she had shown up it would have been watchable. InSEXts, vol. 1 - Collects #1-7. "At the dusk of a century, a pair of vengeful Victorian vixens discover a horrifying power that transforms them into rich and strange new creatures. Armed with their dark, evolving forms, they descend into a world of the cultured and occult, with new senses and new sensuality, to forge a life for themselves and the child of their love." - WorldCat - ISBN 9781935002970

Forensic entomology offers unique advantages for the minimum postmortem interval (PMImin) estimation of decomposed corpses in forensic investigations. Accurate species identification and up-to-date locality information are essential. Hainan Island has a tropical rainforest climate and a vast territory. In this study, the community structure of necrophagous flies on Hainan Island was investigated in detail according to geographical environment. The results showed that the dominant species included C. megacephala, S. peregrina, C. rufifacies, S. misera, H. ligurriens, S. sericea, S. cinerea, S. dux, C. pinguis, and M. domestica. Furthermore, C. rufifacies and C. villeneuvi were found only in the high-altitude areas of Wuzhi Mountain, while S. cinerea was distributed only in coastal areas; the latter is a representative species of Hainan Island and has not been reported before. Furthermore, a GenBank database of forensically important flies was established, whilst a high-resolution melt (HRM) curve analysis was applied to identify the common species of Hainan Island for the first time. This study enriches the database of forensically important flies in tropical rainforest regions. Another beetle making the list, the Hercules Beetle, is one of the largest insects in the world. These massive bugs can reach 6.7 inches in length and have a distinct horn on their heads (though only male beetles have this feature). Rhinoceros beetle, Rhino beetle, Hercules beetle These worms have a peculiar diet. They feed on earthworms by injecting them with paralyzing saliva enzymes before consuming them whole. #17 – Goliath Beetle Paul likens this to cutting the grass. Even after cutting a plant in half with a lawnmower, it can regenerate, something that is impossible for animals to do. In catastrophic circumstances, plants can regrow from rooting systems, buds and other parts. The worm isn’t your typical small, slimy creature, though. It can grow up to a whopping 7 inches in length and has either white or beige coloration. Emotions are mental sensations that are usually linked to an animal's circumstances – they're a kind of mental programme that, when it's set off, can change the way we act. It's thought that different emotions have emerged at different points in evolutionary history, but broadly they turned up to encourage us to behave in ways that will improve our ability to survive or reproduce, and ultimately, maximise our genetic legacy. Marguerite Bennett: Good questions! The answer genuinely goes issue by issue. The art and action of those eras—the global conflicts, the empires, the social changes for each echelon and community, the aesthetic, the fashion, the values, the relationships to sexuality, race, gender and technology—are vibrant and distinct (though, I suppose, this can be said of any era). In InSEXts, I wanted to specifically tell a story that didn’t look like Masterpiece Theatre. London in the Victorian era was a tremendously diverse place, and queer people were not invented in the 1980s. I wanted to corrupt the imperialist narrative. Other supportive measures are often needed, such as intravenous fluids, antibiotics and antacids, to help stabilise the patient. Recovery from surgery for an intussusception usually takes 10-14 days with a buster collar/medical pet shirt and strict lead rest with pain relief and sometimes antibiotics. Can we prevent an intussusception?

Intussusceptions are most likely seen in young animals with a history of some sort of gut disturbance. It can occur in both dogs and cats. What are the symptoms of an intussusception? In the supporting cast Alexis Amore, Tory Lane and Jenaveve Jolie provide ample (too-ample?) sexiness for the top-heavy aficionados, while Miss Gina has that fake-fake Kitten Natividad look up front that I've always disliked. If pouty lips won Golden Globes awards (they probably do -look at Pia Zadora), Gina would be nominated. The child is born soon after (a process Harry does not survive – think Alien, but gorier). But while the late Viscount served as the womb for their baby, dialogue between Mariah and Lady confirm that the child is theirs, possessing Lady’s hair and Mariah’s eyes – and none of Harry’s traits. Paste: Have you found that there’s an overlap between your creator-owned work and the work you’ve done for DC and Marvel? All these things could also apply to insects. An earwig that's thrilled when it finds a nice damp crevice filled with delectable rotting vegetation will be less likely to starve or dry out, just as one that panics and plays dead when it's disturbed has a better chance of escaping the jaws of a predator. Cicada Killer Wasp A cicada killer wasp dragging away a cicada body | image credit: wildlifeinformer.com Wright explains that her bee experiment doesn't necessarily mean that all insects can experience pessimism or optimism, because bees are unusually social – community life at the hive is particularly cognitively demanding, so they're considered intelligent for insects. "…But other insects probably do [have pessimism] too," she says.

With a head that resembles a hammerhead shark, the Hammer Head Worm is one of the coolest insects in the world. Hammer Head Worm Now a naturalist might be intrigued by these visual studies of flora (ZAZEL) and insects, but a porn naturalist will be angry at the absence of natural-looking women in INSEXTS. Star of ZAZEL was an impressive natural beauty Sasha Vinni, but this followup is silicone start to finish. Our planet's continents were once joined together into one supercontinent called Pangea. It formed about 335 million years ago, but by the end of the Jurassic, this single landmass had begun to break apart. This continued throughout the Cretaceous and by the end of the period the continents had moved almost into the positions they are in today. You can find this bizarre creature on the Antarctic Ocean floor with rows upon rows of protective scales covering it. These scales are what we call elytra, and they act as a defense mechanism against ocean predators. One basic clue to the former is that, if you train fruit flies to associate a certain smell with something unpleasant, they will simply run away whenever you present them with it. "They link together the sensory context with the negative stimulus, and they don't want that – and so they go away from it," says Neely. When fruit flies are prevented from escaping, they eventually give up and exhibit helpless behaviour that looks a lot like depression. When you first see a Thorn Bug, it’s easy to mistake them for a piece of debris since its camouflage is so impressive. These bugs live mainly in Central and South America and can reach up to one inch in length. Adult female thorn bug,Umbonia crassicornis(Amyot and Serville). While few people know about their feeding habits, researchers have suggested that they are active hunters. This means they may stalk and capture their prey instead of scavenging for food. However, there's emerging evidence that they can indeed feel pain as we know it – and not only that, they can experience it chronically, just like humans. Wheel Bugs prey on other insects. They use their large pincers to inject toxic saliva that liquefies the insides of their prey. As such, they’re often called “Assassin Bugs” and are beneficial to have in the garden as they help control pest populations.
