About this deal

The Pure Highway 400 is a very neatly designed bit of kit, and it lives up to the company’s claims of easy installation – you can have it up and running in a matter of minutes. One of these technologies was the Flow software platform that allowed Pure to consolidate and stream internet radio. It is well thought out, with the receiver itself attached to the windscreen with the stick-on aerial.

Then tune your car’s FM radio into the given frequency, and use the touchscreen to find DAB stations you like. Whilst connected to the pure Go mobile application, the Go button can be used as the `hot key` to trigger your chosen music on demand service and identify music. But some relatively young cars still didn’t have DAB fitted at the factory, and changing the entire stereo for an aftermarket system is expensive and could lose functionality from a built-in infotainment system. This needs to have either an aux input or FM radio – the Pure Highway 600 transmits over both, although the aux option provides better audio quality.

Note: If you don’t have a laptop, you will need to remove Highway’s antenna from your windscreen and upgrade the software using a PC running Windows 7 8 and 10. mm plug into the aux-in on your car radio, or if it doesn't have one, set the Highway audio-out to FM and it will generate a radio signal on a frequency of your choice between 87.On our test route, using the FM method brought annoying interference on both the FM channel and the DAB. Highway 600 works with your existing audio system using a simple aux-in cable or by transmitting over an unused FM frequency. One alternative way to get DAB radio in your car is to use a pocket DAB radio and either listen with headphones or connect it to your car stereo via an aux cable. At some point in the indeterminate future (the government hasn’t actually put an exact date on it yet) the good old faithful analogue radio signal is going to be switched off – which means if you own a car without a DAB receiver, there’s a danger you might have to actually start talking to your passengers unless you do something about it.

Like all our products, Highway 600 was designed and engineered in the UK by our expert engineering teams. We are pleased to announce that we can provide you with new software for the Pure Evoke C-F6 and Pure Evoke F3 models. As a pioneer in digital radio, Pure has been developing tailored services and software that weren’t widely available at the time. The whole thing is essentially very quick to get going - plug the receiver cable into a USB socket (or use the included fag-lighter adapter if your car doesn't have USB) and either plug the 3.You need a 12V accessory or USB outlet to power the antenna, along with an existing car audio system.
