If you think perfume can fix your graphic tee, cargo shorts, sandals, and sexual frustrations then I want you to avoid this powdery slightly spicy gem. Not much lavender but I accidentally licked the finger that I got some cologne on and it the lavender was VERY present in the way it tasted. There are several youtube videos comparing the smell and longevity of LNDL over the course of a decade and the videos all found that they farther back the bottle was made, the darker and stronger it was and the longer it lasted. To me, La Nuit will remain the same power i feel when wearing it, its still an instant love and journey! It performs better because it has stronger notes, but as said, there are better options if you like leather or cardamom.

Once the stars of the show, the leather and the Tonka, take center stage, the fragrance becomes smoother and even more elegant with the emergence of the sandalwood which polishes the scent slightly while mixing in a slight woody element. I've heard some people say that this perfume is very popular with women, but I personally don't like it very much. It’s quality but I’m not a fan of amber frags and honestly you could just get a cheapie like Montblanc legend night and it smells similar. I first smelled this and was absolutely in love with the intoxicatingly rich and spicy cardamom - a note that I am already very fond of and I think this bottle has used it masterfully! i smelled it, i was hooked, one of those moments that you know you've found something to your liking.So my final verdict is just to try it out, this is one of the best things I have ever smelt, hands down. I have seen people say 4 shots - one on the chest, one each pulse point on the neck and one on the back of neck. The leather note here is not sitting at the front of this bus and the tonka bean is a very welcomed addition that keeps the fragrance from getting too dark. This scent is more like a deep bass note that can be appreciated by a captivated listener, but if there are others in the room that project better, it will struggle. Her exact words from inside the bar (a good 4-6 feet away) were, "omg what kind of cologne are you wearing?

There's a smidgen of creaminess and a hint of powder as it dries down, but for the most part it's super cloying and obnoxious. I literally overheard people at a restaurant talking about how they could smell me before I walked into the room (and not in a good way).The fragrance is otherwise really nice, but I can't get the sauerkraut association out of my head when I smell it.

I can see that, but only in the dry down, and Ferragamo black is a much better bottle in my opinion. This is a beautiful fresh deep desirable fragrance that draws you in and keeps you on hold , I’m loving it.

I can recognise this scent from 7829392 miles away, I've smelt it maybe once or twice on different people in passing and it still hasn't lost its charm on me.
