About this deal

If simplicity is what you’re after in a mic isolation shield, then NW-6 vocal booth from Neewer may be all you need. As far as foam vocal booths go, this is certainly up there with the best. In contrast to cheaper vocal booths, the foam in the Neewer is reasonably dense and feels supple to touch. Neewer’s also used various types of soundproofing in the NW-6 such as aluminium sheets too. So much so that when it comes to diffusing sound, it doesn’t actually do a bad job. You can even reverse the polarity- though most pedals require negative to be the centre pin, some don't. We've covered you there with a couple of polarity reversing cables for those pedals which require positive to be centre. It’s well-built, made in the UK (not China) and crucially, pushes the boundaries of what’s possible when it comes to portable recording. And for that, we can’t help but admire it.

Mic isolation shields don’t tend to get more portable than this. And don’t be fooled by the fact this is a 5 panel shield. Yes, it may look big when it’s in use, but when it’s folded up it’s the ideal size for the road. In terms of dims, when fully folded it’s only L: 15cm, W: 14cm and H: 28cm – travel friendly if you ask us. Nordell's collective experience and industry knowledge of over 700 years combine to not only bring tangible savings to your new projects but also help to refine and develop existing products. Whether you have a new to-market concept, an evolution or development of an existing product, or are looking to relocate UK or overseas work to benefit from a world-class manufacturing service, we can customise an offer to meet your needs. So as you can imagine, pinpointing the best mic reflection filters isn’t an easy task – in fact, it’s mind-boggling! We should know because that’s exactly what we’ve done to create this blog. You can thank us later. Read on and we’ll reveal 9 of the best microphone reflection filters you can buy in 2023… As a plastic injection moulding company, we understand the importance of attention to detail and the value of experience. Our team has over 700 years of collective experience in the industry, which means we know how to identify and solve potential issues before they become problems. When we first go a set to try out, we test against a few other sets at varying price points, and there really was very little difference - despite some costing nearly triple.

We can also advise and support you with any specialist coatings, whether this be for colour, feel, wear resistance and perceived value or coatings for conductive functionality such as Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) or Radio Frequency Interference. We take pride in our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer service at Nordell. Our success is based on our ability to build long-term relationships with our clients, and we work hard to ensure that every project we undertake is completed to the highest possible standards. The best microphone reflection filters/ isolation shields are those which don’t just slightly improve your vocals, but almost eradicate the need for a vocal booth or sound treated room altogether. So as you can imagine then, in the right hands they’re very powerful pieces of kit, not to mention a workflow god-send!World-class Plastic Injection Moulding & Manufacturing Services A Plastic Injection Moulding Company With More Than 50 Years of Experience And as for the filter itself, it comprises of a whopping 10 layers of insulation material including acoustic grade wool, aluminium membrane absorber and sE’s own polyester fibreboard, all designed to help with sound absorption, isolation and diffusion. Characteristics that we can vouch for, as particularly when you study the levels in your DAW, it’s clear the sE RF-Space does its job. It’s no wonder the’ve a patent on this design of multi-layer filter. It's well made - unlike plastic casings, this aluminium alloy casing can stand up to life on the road. Aside from how it’s constructed, the Aston’s performance is also down to material choice. The entire of the Halo is covered Aston’s unique PET felt. Something that’s said to be far more sound absorbent than traditional foam. We say “Aston’s” felt because is actually patented by the company themselves; you won’t find this felt on any other mic isolation shield! This high grade oxygen-free copper microphone cable won't eat away at your tone, noiseless mic cable means that (unlike cheaper cables) you won't get that awful 'rattling' sound degrading your sound everytime you move around. The balanced nature of these cables keeps the signal strong.

It won't let you down - isolated outputs mean that should any short circuits arise, the other outputs will will continue to function - meaning your show still goes on!It's very flexible- with 7 x 9v outputs at 100mA, 1 x 9v output at 500mA, 1 x 12v output at 100 mA and 1 x 18v output at 100mA, it can power all manner of different pedals. The 10 x 60cm supplied power cables should be long enough for even the largest pedal boards. It's well made- unlike plastic casings, this aluminium alloy casing can stand up to life on the road. Let's face it, there's nothing more annoying than spending an hour at every gig, unravelling that great mess of cable spaghetti. A cable wrap gets rid of that problem in a jiffy! We offer a comprehensive range of dedicated services to complement our core Plastic Injection moulding manufacturing business.

The 3 layers themselves are an absorbing layer, a reflective layer and a filter layer, all of which do slightly different things for your voice. The absorbing layer (high density EVA foam) soaks up audio waves to prevent sound reflection. The filter layer (a form of acoustic cotton insulation) then dampens the sounds that can’t be absorbed, while the reflective layer works to isolate any ambient noise. All very clever stuff, which you really do notice what with this being a 5-part reflection filter. These bad boys are all metal. The threaded part of the XLR plugs on most microphone leads are plastic. Which means only one thing when someone stands on one - buy another lead. Whilst every effort is made to describe the condition of our used equipment certain detail may be missed. Please feel free to call the shop and a member of staff will handle the product and describe any faults/condition in detail. This avoids any ambiguity of the goods sold. Our expertise isn't limited to plastic injection moulding services alone; we also offer ultrasonic welding, product assembly, and testing. This means that we can handle every aspect of your project from start to finish, ensuring that you receive the best possible results.

Hold on – don’t be fooled into thinking that mic reflection filters are all the same. They’re not! In fact, to assume so you couldn’t be more wrong. For instance, some filters use traditional foam to diffuse sound, while others rely on innovative forms of felt. And it’s much the same with mic coverage too. Some protect your mic from all 360 degrees, while others just deal with reverb from the sides.
