About this deal

Caroline states that any good formulation is ready to go as soon as you squeeze a drop onto your face. So step in Caroline Hirons she is an established industry expert and facialist and she seems to know what works and doesn’t. We added some of her top product recommendations to our kit and followed her step-by-step guide to see if there was a discernible difference when it came to our skin. When I'm not performing on stage, which requires heavy makeup, I tend to favor a more natural look and give my skin a rest, but even if I'm only wearing tinted moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss, my skin is still being nourished by the toners, serums, and other products I've used before I put on my "minimalist's palette" of makeup.

Along with new photography and product recommendations, the updated version of the original book has new sections on different skin colours, conditions and industry updates. Bit disappointed that there is nothing more to this new edition so I took away one star from previous rating.Another nice thing about this book is that Hirons is not shy of recommending specific products for particular skin concerns. Also, unlike the essential oils, it is probably reasonable to believe that you’re not actively doing your skin any harms. I was surprised at how much I got out of this book - I considered myself fairly well versed in the realm of skincare however since reading I've added a few tweaks in my routine that have changed the game!

Only giving this 3 stars though as there is SCARCE info on pregnancy/ menopausal skin concerns /product recommendations which I know I would have definitely appreciated when preggo. Marketing departments regurgitate the same advice,” she says, when ideally we want to work with a damp face. There's a common pattern across the internet to overcomplicate skincare, which is ultimately what turns so many away.I even love the ‘how to pop a spot’ section because let’s face it, we all do it but love that we can now do it with a plan! Skincare is the go-to book for people of all ages and skin types who want to feel and look fantastic.

It felt nice for non-make-up days, though, but was too much underneath, so we only sprayed when necessary.Harper’s Bazaar ‘The Skincare legend…’ Get the gloss ‘The internet's authority on skincare, Caroline Hiron's debut non-fiction book is a no nonsense guide to skincare – and getting the nation off face wipes for good. If you're new to skincare and find the vast array of products overwhelming, and they certainly can be, or if you just want to know more, try this book. She is an amazing woman, and her book is just as I find her: knowledgeable, straightforward, accurate and real.
