About this deal

You have 30 days from the date you received your device(s) to request a full refund with no questions asked. I have installed a few of these, they are great when the transformer is on show in the hall, when replacing an existing mains doorbell. Drop off your package at the post office or with the carrier indicated on the pre-paid postage label. I have a plug socket in cupboard next to the porch, so just needed a small 4mm hole drilled and passed the cable through.

We take pride in the products we offer, and we're constantly striving to improve our selection to ensure that you find exactly what you're looking for.On a side note, Ring only sell a din rail transformer with DC output, most of their modern doorbells require an AC transformer, so theirs is not suitable. The consumer unit is not near the front door but there is a 2-gang socket next to the door with only a network router plugged in at the moment. IP rating describes the enclosure's ability to protect the device inside from dust, dirt, water and moisture.

There are some third party plug in adapters for the Nest, perhaps there's something similar for the Ring. The ring branding is quite subtle and the plastic housing inside fits any din rail transformer so it worked perfectly for my requirements. This is because it's designed to accommodate a variety of transformers (earlier Ring generations came with a 24VAC transformer which is quite chunky, whereas the newer 24VDC transformers are lightweight and thin). IP65 DIN rail enclosures provide your equipment protection from dust and water and so the enclosure is safe for outdoor environments. Attach your existing doorbell wires to the terminals on the rear of your Video Doorbell, and tighten the terminal screws with the Ring screwdriver.

What I think I want is a small flush mounted enclosure with minimal protusion and/or a neat cover, but can't seem to find anything - anyone aware of one? It also fits BG Bell Transformer which is cheaper than the Ring one, so I would assume it fits all standard DIN rail bell transformers. Also known as top hat rail enclosures, DIN rail enclosures are mounted onto a standard sized metal rail within a rack. BG CUB1 Bell Transformer Din Rail Mount provides constant power to a mains powered door bell through the consumer unit. Is there a possibility of making a "feature" out of the installation, like maybe a fancy wall-mounted light fitting with the transformer concealed behind it?

If the existing doorbell mains wiring goes straight back to the consumer unit or in a cupboard, you could use a cheap ugly din rail enclosure or even have the transformer installed inside the consumer unit if there is room. To hear alert sounds throughout your home, you can add the Ring Skill to any Alexa-enabled speaker, or add a Ring Chime to your system.

A much better option that other doorbell transformer housing and still allows easy access to change the transformer if need be. As the sole UK distributor for Eastron we have any meter or accompanying accessory to meet your needs. Only downside really is that it's quite bulky (as in depth) so it sticks out quite far from the wall. Related Products: RS Pro 40VA Control Panel Transformers, 400V ac Primary, 115V ac Secondary Siemens 0. For example, a Primary Voltage Rating of 400V ac can be stepped down to a Secondary Voltage Rating of 230V ac.
