About this deal

If you must have a chandelier, never place it over the sofa, it will feel threatening and spiky hanging over your head, try the coffee table instead.

Over the course of her first year, she is welcomed into the rhythms and routines that characterise life at the edge of the world. Have a very clear backdrop, like a plain wall and shelf, and then curate and showcase a few objects that have real significance. The main thing is don’t be scared of feng shui or feel you will bring ‘bad luck’ if you need to break some rules. I can see myself using this book over and over again as a reference when styling and designing my home.

I learned a lot in this little hardback and will be referring back to it often as I arrange and decorate my apartment! In an increasingly cramped world, a modern guide to opening up your living space – and your life – using the ancient principles of feng shui. By exploring and explaining the science, debunking damaging myths, and smashing the taboos around the perimenopause and menopause, this book will equip women to make the most informed decisions about their health. Starting from the very basics, he offers the reminder that while practicing feng shui in your spaces doesn't guarantee success, it never hurts to stack the deck in your favor - that having a well-designed, thought-out space to live and work in will definitely benefit you!

Cliff, 34, even has a catchphrase, ending each piece of advice – all flying arms and bubbling enthusiasm – with a grin and a cheery, “So, now you know! THE SHACK wrestles with the timeless question, 'Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain? Traditionally there is less focus on these ‘service’ rooms in feng shui, but there is plenty you can do.

If they think the maximalist look is fashionable, they ‘busy up’ their rooms with lots of decorations. The sofa needs to take command – with a wall behind, space in front, and allowing you to see the entrance from it.

More importantly, Cliff gives you the tools to apply feng shui yourself, whether you live in a dorm or a five-bedroom house. If you are looking for a simple to read introduction to Feng Shui in the home then this is for you, easy to follow sections and explanation about the principles. In Feng Shui Modern, Cliff explains the concepts of feng shui and then uses expert tips and practical diagrams to show - room by room - how our own styles, colour palettes and furniture can be used to maximise any environment.
