About this deal
I absolutely loved her style of comedy and satire so when I saw that she had a book out I immediately downloaded.

I listen to this to and from work each day and it never fails to make me smile and often laugh out loud on the train!TikTok sensation Clara Batten has dedicated the last few years to seeking the answer to one of life’s most crucial questions: Is it possible to raise and nurture two small humans without losing your bloody mind? This book lets you know that, if you don’t take yourself too seriously, if you know who you really are and if you love more than you fear; then life is going to be ok. strong>
The publisher said: “In Gin and Phonics, Clara talks candidly about the ups, downs and amusing realities of trying to parent two small people whilst fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming an actress without losing her bl**dy mind.It was such an easy, relatable book to read and i have already recommended it to a few of my gin loving parent friends for them to devour and enjoy as well. This being said, I did find this book entertaining, and if you are not looking for something too taxing to read I would definitly recommend it.
If you are a fan of the 'Why Mummy Drinks' series, then I couldn't recommend this one enough - I think you will love it. Most importantly, Clara shows us that no matter how much we adore our little treasures, life isn’t just about their A, B and bloody Cs. It’s about how TikTok inadvertently gave this middle-class mum a whole new career in her 40s and my subsequent attempt to fulfil my lifelong dream of becoming an actress, it’s ridiculous stories about the perils of white wine and rose gold hair dye, and it’s an ode to the McDonald’s Drive-Thru (and my ongoing efforts to persuade my kids to come with me). Now I’ve just said all that out loud, I would be utterly shocked if this didn’t win every literary award out there.
