I haven't tried bass yet but having used other Headrush units for bass tones I know its very capable. We cannot compromise the guitar, but we can use amplifier simulators and FX modelers that all come neatly in one floorboard unit, a digital skateboard. This goes for all of the features on Prime, with everything easily accessible via the touch screen and parameter and control knobs.The Prime also features an onboard ¼-inch stereo FX loop to integrate pedals and outboard gear at any point in your signal chain and allows for advanced integration into your rig via the four-cable method.
The large display also gives clear feedback when performing live, especially when tweaking tones using the expression pedal in 'Hands-Free Mode'.Not quite the real-amp experience, but I wonder if that’s due to the lack of air that a typical speaker cabinet pushes at performance volume. Many users complained that the pedal would get caught in a reboot cycle where the lights would flash, but the pedalboard would never load and start. i am 24 hrs into using it and ive already set up multiple settings and banks that i can now learn how to use the other features. In addition to this, you can also connect and play audio from any Bluetooth-enabled mobile device, which opens you up to using many more streaming and digital lesson services. I do prefer the HX Stomp for some reasons (delays, reverbs, effects, the new cabs) but the MX5 can do stuff that’s really fun that I can’t do with the Stomp without some serious outboard investing. The Headrush is an excellent amp modeler/multi-effects pedal amp that offers a truckload of effects and a smoking-hot touchscreen (my favorite feature).
In addition, the onboard looper offers a whopping 5 minutes of loop time to jam over, with 20 minutes of layered audio available.
