About this deal

After Mona finds out the truth about Aunty, she runs from everyone else and finds the Queen Elizabeth model, who is actually Hetty Feather.

Instead they stay with a seamstress and work on a new act, a parody of the ventriloquist dummy act in the show, using a penny-farthing that they stole from the circus. I don't think that Diamond likes change because it's hard for her to get used to different things at such a young age. Although Jacqueline has said that she thinks Little stars will be the last in the series I think that there is the possibility of a sixth book as the end is pretty open to further events. The relationship between Hetty and Diamond is so touching and you just know they will be together forever as sisters.Seeing as this is the last book in the series (for now, I really hope we get more) I thought I would review the series as a whole instead of just the individual book. truthfully, I remember my very first early impression of him being along the lines of 'My, the absolute cheek on this one!

His wedding was kinda swept under the rug and I would of loved to of seen more interaction between him and Hetty. Jem is getting married to Janet and Hetty goes to attend, but the train is delayed and she's late for her act, frosting her relationship with Miss Ruby. She’s a plucky heroine and this fifth book about her trials and triumphs will appeal to intermediate-age readers who enjoy an entertaining historical novel. This is the fifth book of the Hetty Feather series, and needless to say, I also adored this book, and still do.They perform for the whole season, but when Diamond falls off the springboard and hurts herself, and is threatened by her master, Hetty takes Diamond and they run away. As a teenager she started work for a magazine publishing company and then went on to work as a journalist on Jackie magazine (which she was told was named after her! Hetty and Lil are approached by Miss Sarah Smith, who takes them to a restaurant and interviews them for her new book, A penny for a posy. Ida eventually dies and Hetty insists that she can pay for her funeral, and stays until she's paid back Freda for her contribution.

Fired from the music hall, Hetty and Diamond join the actors troupe and start rehearsing for a new show, David Copperfield, with Hetty playing a young Davy. Also, I know this is already 5 books long but we neeeeedddd another book as we need to know what happens - ahh I can't say anything because I might spoil it but I know there is potential for another book. I felt like Jem and Janet's wedding should have been a greater climax rather than a short couple of chapters in the middle of the book, and honestly I was expecting them to come back into the story towards the end of the book with some dramatic twist. If you remember Diamond from the last book, it's them spending their lives together, doing everything together, and the stories here are amazing. After putting together a ventriloquist show and naming themselves the little stars, Hetty learns that it’s actually harder work than it looks. His lurking presence is a good lesson, I think, especially for the older readers who are probably reading this independently.

Indeed, since the second he first graced the pages of this instalment, my thought process, whatever it was, was instantly replaced by an excited rattle of 'Bertie Bertie Bertie Bertie Bertie'.Although, as aforementioned, a tad abrupt, the ending to this book and Hetty's story is definitely a satisfying one.
