The dispenser height is adjustable and the minimum is 90mm and maximum height is 142mm. Bean-to-cup brewing is the hallmark of this coffee machine. While the foam is excellent and far more consistent than a manual frother, it doesn’t quite match up to a professional barista.

The cleaning is also pretty simple, as we alluded to in the previous section. It is all automatic. When you have finished making your drink, turn the milk dial to the ‘Clean’ position and it will run hot water through the system to rinse it out. To descale the system, simply select ‘Descale’ from the menu on the user interface – it will instruct you what to do from there. Cup warmer – Unlike other coffee machines where the drip tray is the cup warmer, this is on the top of the machine. If you have space I would leave your cups there all the time, so they start warming the second you turn it on As I mentioned earlier in the review, it is very difficult for a one touch machine to texture milk as god as a barista. I can say with certainty the Delonghi Eletta Cappuccino, does it better than most. If you’re buying a machine specifically for that type of coffee, perhaps it’s worth considering a different machine. Don’t forget, though, this Delonghi does have a programmable option, so you can build your own coffee making cycles if you wish!

Again this part is fully automated and it will handle all of the milk texturing for you. While the Eletta ECAM44.660.B doesn’t have the classy appeal of a stainless steel coffee machine, it’s still an attractive model that will look great in any kitchen. It’s simple to use, with its one touch buttons and LCD screen, and all the components are intuitively placed.
