About this deal

The wings can get some final edge highlights but that isn’t super necessary, especially if you have more than one model of these to paint. I built up the flame effect with a thinned coat of VGC Livery Green [ Moot Green with a bit of white] and then Scorpy Green [ Moot Green], leaving the recesses white.

Also, the horns on the bull highlight from a blue-grey to a white-blue as blue works well against red. Material Matters Apply a dot of White to the top-left of the jewel (the part painted with Incubi Darkness). This should be a literal dot. Don’t worry if you mess up: Re-paint the area with Incubi Darkness and try again! That pretty much covers it. I’m happy with the final model and it wasn’t nearly as much time to paint as I expected it might take. Next comes finishing off the bottom half of the model. My bone recipe is to paint the skulls/bones with Rakarth Flesh, wash that with Agrax, then highlight with Rakarth Flesh and Reaper Polished Bone, using a mix of Agrax and Polished bone for shading and smoothing. If I’m doing something more reflective, then I will step up to a mid-grey, something like Administratum Grey. It’s a strong jump but it emphasis the reflective nature of the material.

Again, highlight with a brown, only this time use Citadel Balor brown. Again, highlight even less of the armour

The Tabard is a base of Mephiston Red shaded with Khorne Red and Carroburg, and highlighted with Evil Sunz Scarlet.

But it was a nice tutorial.. the ethereal cloak especially, since she is just using coelia for it and then waywatcher green to get some green effects.. So I know, from that video alone, that coelia with blue and green glaze will work.. might not look spot on, but it will at least work.

The model was primed with Corax White from Games Workshop, which is a light grey primer. I recommend applying three or four thin coats for a perfect coverage without smothering any details with paint. In our How to Paint Everything series we look at how to paint well, everything, talking about different assembly methods, techniques, and colors used. In today’s How to Paint Everything, we’re covering a Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar double threat: Be’lakor, the first Daemon Prince, as painted by Daniel “Skails” Rodenberg. Now with my glaze of Pallid Wych Flesh ready, I go over the raised muscle of the skin to make it stand out against the rest of the flesh, but not enough to make it too much of a bright white color to overwhelm the Rakarth Flesh.

I have looked everywhere for inspiration and the one thing that really catches my eye is the new Knight of Shrouds model, specifically the blueish color of the clothing on the steed.
