Any child who needs additional practice has daily Keep-up support, taught by a fully trained adult. Keep-up lessons match the structure of class teaching, and use the same procedures, resources and mantras, but in smaller steps with more repetition, so that every child secures their learning. The placement assessment is used for pupils who are new to the school to identify gaps in children's GPCand word reading knowledge. Phase Six: This final phase focuses on developing children’s reading comprehension and writing skills. Children are introduced to more complex texts and learn how to write sentences and paragraphs.
