For something like CG animation that is entirely digital, watch it digitally, whether 2d or 3d. Its what the artists themselves were using to create the art. Or, if there is a little indie cinema near you that doesn't have a digital projector, feel free to support them and watch the analogue projection of a digital film - it will still look fine. But don't kid yourself that its somehow better, its not, its worse. Its only better for films shot AND edited on film.
