Out of the box, the C2 covers the entire digital cinema color space accurately, with no color drifting any significant amount from the target. Several TVs approach this level of performance, but they always have some sort of flaw—the C1’s magentas run warm and the TCL 6-Series’ yellows are slightly undersaturated, for example. The C2’s colors are as perfect as we’ve seen on a consumer TV. Until TVs start to reach the wider Rec.2020 color space (which consumer content isn’t mastered for yet), the C2 is the gold standard for home theater TV accuracy without calibration.
