I’ve recently become a little emphatic about the usefulness of the pot-in-pot method for the Instant Pot. The truth is, once I got over my initial fear of using the Instant Pot (so many buttons, so much steam!), I found it only moderately more useful than my slow cooker. But the pot-in-pot method has totally changed that. Once I discovered that I could cook a complete meal – main dish and side – at the same time, I was hooked. I use this once or twice a week now and love that all messes are contained right inside the machine. See below for my favorite things to cook this way! You need to remove the stainless lid and lose some heat to peek inside, and it requires a sizeable chunk of space for storage. Americans consume billions of pounds of pasta every year, and it’s safe to assume we cook a good bit of it at home. It’s comforting and combines in a happy marriage a diverse array of sauces, fillings, toppings, and more. Plus, making pasta seems as cut and dry as the product itself. You boil water in a pot and add noodles. Straight forward. But wait. What kind of pot? What size? How much water? And what about cook time? One Pot Creamy Tomato and Chorizo Rigatoni - an indulgent and super-tasty family meal. It's all finished with lovely chunks of mozzarella, baby spinach and plenty of parmesan.

When it comes to kitchen equipment, performance is of utmost importance, so any member of the “best pasta pot” list must do its job well. But that doesn’t mean pretty is passe. And if you eschew extra cleanup and often serve straight from your pot, an attractive one has further appeal. Enter Le Creuset’s pasta pot. Cheese and Cream - yes, it's got plenty - torn mozzarella, grated parmesan and cream 😍. It's a rich dish. You can use less and/or low-half fat cheese if you prefer. Chorizo - I like to use a mild Spanish chorizo ring that I cut into nice chunky slices. However, you can use spicier chorizo, pre-sliced chorizo or even pepperoni. Usually this side of the Atlantic or in any popular fast food chains, the cheese you get on a burger is a highly processed cheddar cheese slice. Pasta works well in the pot-in-pot method. Just be sure that it is covered by a couple inches of water so it has room to expand as it cooks. Drain it well at the end of the cooking time. Use this Guide to Pasta in the Instant Pot to determine the time required for cooking the pasta, but add 2 minutes to account for the fact that it is elevated above the heat source.With its clean lines and graceful rings surrounding the substantial yet stately knob handle anchoring the lid, it brings all the hallmarks of the classic brand’s craftsmanship to the table. Do note: It won’t work on induction.

It’s oven-safe but limited to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can’t be placed under most oven broilers and is not induction cooktop compatible. First, no cheeseburger would be complete without the burger part and for that, I use extra lean beef, we also have to have some onion and good seasoning, plus the ultimate ingredients - Worcestershire Sauce. I actually find that I get much more consistent results when I cook rice in the elevated pot-in-pot method than when I cook it in the main insert of the Instant Pot. Like several of the pots on the list, it’s made from aluminum, but its manufacturer only provides a 10-year warranty. And again, it’s a no-go if you’ve got an induction cooktop.
