About this deal

As an extra bonus, for me at least, the expansion tank on our central heating needs to be charged to 3 bar (43.5psi), which is really awkward to do with my stirrup pump as you have to press it against the wall, making it hard to get the necessary force; with the Ring I can just plug it in and off it goes. When our plumber saw it, he went out and bought one straight away. If you’re wanting a tyre inflator that can cope with any domestic task from fully inflating rugby balls to car tyres, the Worx is the best of the three. Though it is the most expensive and becomes quite an investment if you need the battery and charger kit. That being said, it gives you access to the excellent world of Worx PowerShare. Obviously, extras like a light or a digital display would make a tyre pressure far more useful. However, at this price, Ring's offering does exactly what it says on the tin. Given most people are used to tyre inflators being the size of a kids lunchbox with wires and cables, this small handlheld design might come as a surprise. It's about the size of a standard 50cl bottle of water and not much different in weight either. To charge it up took about three hours when it first arrived and since then we've been charging it up between uses.

As if all these features weren’t enough, the Ring Handheld tyre inflator can act as a powerbank, coming as it does with a USB charging port and micro USB cable so you can charge mobile devices and laptops. A full charge from completely flat took about three and a quarter hours via the supplied micro-USB cable. I’d have liked to have seen this a USB-C given the popularity of this connector now, but it’s not the end of the world. In the box you get the inflator as well as a carrying bag and a bottle cage attachment so you can carry it on your bike. The unit is charged via a standard USB cable that's supplied. Once the desired pressure is reached, the inflator automatically stops. The most common units – psi – have one decimal place on the display, but it will only show in increments of 0.5.Featuring a 3.7V battery, the RTC2000 weighs less than half a kilo and measures just 70mm across by 170mm length. This is intentionally a similar size to a bicycle water bottle, allowing you to carry it in a bottle holder.

Finally we tried it on a few flat footballs and a basketball, using the attachment which cleverly slots in the base. Again it was simple to use and fast to inflate - a handy thing to have for when the kids decide they want to play football there and then. Over the time we've used it, we found it has kept its charge well, even when sat in the boot of the car for a few months.Perfect for cars, motorbikes, bicycles and other inflatables, the Ring RTC2000 can top up a car tyre in under 3 mins and inflate a bicycle tyre from flat in 2 mins. Easy to use, the digital display accurately displays pressure. You can save up to 4 pressures within the memory, the one-touch inflation will automatically stop once the pressure has been reached. The RTC2000 features a bright LED torch and can be used as a power bank to charge devices such as mobile phones. The compact design fits in the included bicycle mount. Includes storage compartment for tyre valve caps when in use. Shows pressure readings in kPA, bar and PSI. The instructions say to wait 15 minutes after 15 minutes of use; after this run the pump’s body felt only slightly warm to touch, but taking it apart I found the motor was extremely hot, so I really would give it a break between long runs; it’s not designed to compete with an industrial compressor so be sensible. This torch-like inflator actually doubles as a torch with its built-in white LED light, which makes the Ring Handheld especially useful for pumping up tyres late at night or, indeed, doing any work on the car in darkness. The Ring RTC2000 Cordless Handheld Tyre Inflator is a small rechargeable tyre inflator that's designed for topping up car tyres and inflating bicycle tyres, footballs (and the like) and even inflatables. It's light in weight (at roughly 500g) and comes with a two piece adaptor kit for sports equipment and Presta bike valves. There's an LED light and it also acts as a powerbank function if need be.

RTC200 analogue tyre inflator with large on/off button for ease of use. Its stable design keeps the inflator still while in use. Much improved is the tyre valve connector which, unlike many others, is now sturdier. This new, bigger brass unit makes it much easier to connect to a tyre valve that’s all covered in road gunk because it’s big enough for you to grip properly. It’s also much easier to attach to tyres with awkwardly placed valves. As always, there’s a deflator valve if you need to let some of the air out. The RTC2000 is ideal for cars, motorbikes, bikes, scooters and other inflatables and can top up a car tyre in under 3 mins and a bike tyre from flat in under 2 mins. A digital autostop feature automatically stops the inflation process once the desired pressue is reached meaning you don’t need to worry about over inflation.Smart storage case allows you to charge the inflator whilst still in the bag, with storage for cable Free Delivery is not available for Over-Sized parcels, such as Exhausts, Radiators & Headlamps - For details on these items please see the 'Oversized Items' section below.
