About this deal

Developing her approach to the genre of romance over the years, she came to be a household name for many the world over. Using a lot of inspiration from her own life, she would create stories that felt wholly real, really capturing the imaginations of the readers. Currently still writing to this very day, she’s got a lot more to come, as she continues to write from her home in South West of England with both her husband and son. Now.. can I talk about how I now have a tattooing kink? Did not expect that at all and it was so damn hot!!!! To brand someone like that?! Hot. Hot. Hot. Not to mention my favorites from other books of Jolie’s make an appearance as well. Such a treat. And of course this wouldn’t be one of Jolie’s masterminds if it didn’t leaving me needing more. Cannot wait for the next book in this series. These Dark Island men are everything! Ruin was a dark, mysterious masterpiece that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is my first book by this author and I’m in love with her style of writing. I will be signing up for all of her future releases. This is Camden (Scar) and Breeze's story. I'll be honest. I wasn’t sure what I would think of it. I didn't have an instant like towards Breeze. Camden? Yes, but I've loved him since the first book. Breeze just didn't sit well with me. And I think that's because she instantly judged him. She knew he was McInver's son and just assumed he was a rich playboy with his father's deviant tendencies. You know what they say about assumptions. I also thought she was idiotic (not naive, I could overlook being naive) for putting herself in the same situation twice without thinking of the repercussions. I liked her more by the end but mostly because Camden loved her. I just really didn't. I really enjoyed this third installment in Jolie Vines’ Marry the Scot series. The hero of this book is Gordain, younger brother of Callum, the male lead in book one. He’s also the tattooed helicopter pilot best friend to James from book two... That is the installment that laid the groundwork for this romance. It is where Gordain met James’ younger sister, Ella, and helped her escape from the clutches of her evil uncle Richard.

Normally I would hate that. I want love, love and more love. But you know what? As a reader, I *needed* Struan's story. I needed to read about his suffering and his anger and his defiance. Ummm wow.. this book seriously had me on edge the whole time. I had a love/hate relationship for this couple. I loved them so much but I also hated them. And not in a bad way. They had so much past trauma that I hated the way they were to each other at times. It was when they stopped fighting their feelings that I stopped hating them. Yes, I followed your kind instructions,” I snapped. “Your name is healing beautifully on my pussy.” I loved that we got more of Straun and Thea. I loved watching their love shine. I liked seeing Scar grow, Burn find a bit of peace, and Cassie find her family. But the drama that happened. The way things went done. So many questions hanging in the air.... aghhh. This series, this book! It will reel you in and leave you hanging, waiting for more. I need to know what happened. But I'll be patient. My answers will come in due time. They will all find peace and happiness and I'll be happy too. Looking forward to the next book! ❤❤ Then Scar steps up and takes charge. Where Struan and Sin are impulsive and fueled by anger, Scar is more level headed and serious, except with Breeze. He’s soft, considerate, and bent on protecting her.

Scar is the third book in the Dark Island Scots series. This one centers around Camden (Scar) and Breeze. So many twists and turns which is very common with this series. These Dark Island men are learning more about the secrets of their lives. I think I’m more invested in learning all these secrets than they are at this point. Scar really steps up and becomes the leader of the family. I felt like he was done letting Sin carry all weight and started doing his part for the family. There’s something really hot about that too. Ruin is very different from Jolie Vines other books. It's dark and mysterious and not at all a fun, happy read. The writing was excellent, the setting of Scotland with a broody hero my favorite, and bringing the McRaes into the story made me one happy reader. Aside from those things, this is not your typical book by this author.

Jolie, you good? The newest series from Jolie Vines, Dark Island Scots, is a departure from her Highlander-loving Scotsmen of her earlier series, and it’s exciting and compelling. Now, for three books, she has enticed her readers with a prolonged storyline, wrought through plot ups and downs. That she compels her readers to dive into the books of this series is a testament to her capacity to keep her readers engaged. There is just something intriguing about her characters, Struan, Sin, Scar, and Burn. This found family that is actually blood-related pulls you into the story. However, it’s the running plot through the stories that drives readers forward. By the end of Scar, the newest story, there is no telling where the overarching story is going. We left with three complex heroes finding love amid the chaos of their lives. Woven into the fabric of this series is a delectable dark erotic spirit.Gordain's military career is in freefall after a night he doesn't remember. His burning need for his We get to spend a lot of time with the secondary cast of characters who we have gotten to know from previous books and that is always a treat. We also see brothers Ally and Wasp growing up, thanks to the expense of time over which the book progresses. As always, Vines has a deft hand with love scenes and paints a love story with characters who are hopeful, yet vulnerable. While I loved Gordain's brother, Callum in Storm the Castle, I think I enjoyed this story even more. Gordain is the kind of tortured hero I like to read about. He has high standards for himself, and when he feels he has done something to besmirch his honor, his disappointment in himself is the stuff of legend. He cannot see the hero in himself that Ella sees, and he cannot see the worthiness that his brothers see. All he sees is his mess. However their were parts I thought could have been explained a little bit better and parts that using common sense could have solved the problem but where would the excitement be in that… True.” Grabbing her hand, he pulled her closer and leaned across the counter. “Now give me some of those germs.”

SIN (Dark Island Scot book 2) I highly recommend you read the first book “Ruin” before reading this one because you will understand it better Gourdain. For me, he is the highlight of this book. He is handsome (always a plus), a sexy Scottish Highlander (who doesn’t love a man in a kilt), ruggedly capable in most situations (he seems to save everyone), and he’s broken, the hallmark of a well-written hero (at least to me). Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love Ella’s character in this book. She has a wisdom and grit about her that it never really feels like you are reading a 17/18-year-old heroine. She easily matches Gourdain, who also has a worldliness about him. But it’s Gourdain’s struggle with himself that provides the true depth to this book. He can be frustrating at times because he makes choices counter to his heart, and it causes issues between him and Ella. However, he comes to the rescue when it’s needed and redeems himself within the story. He’s kind, broody, so sexy, and incredibly capable, even when he wraps himself in his head. If you love swoony, broken heroes, then you absolutely need to read Hero. It's brilliant, really. For instance, in this book, which is Breeze and Scar's story, there is a very steamy love scene between Lottie and Sin (couple from the previous book). I love that! (I'm saying "love" too much, I know) Before I get into my review, can I just say how much I LOVE this cover???? Most of the time when a romance cover has a photo, it fails to match my mental image of that character. Not this time. This guy IS Sin.The premise of the story was appealing; it’s what drew me to the book and the cover. Struan at times gave me the bad boy imagine, especially when around, sweet innocent Thea. Thea was super sweet and gave this story balance. There were different POV and that was interesting as well. The chemistry between Struan and Thea was pretty hot. I was completely down with his hot demanding dirty talk… A book with a plus sized heroine and the huge, tormented, protective Scot who would die to save her? Yeah, I’m in. Add in a dose of the hottest smut I’ve ever read (whoops my biggest kink) and you’ve got Sin, the second book in the Dark Island Scots series. Hero begins with a closer look into a scene from the previous book, Love Most, Say Least, where Ella and Gordain meet for the first time when he comes to her rescue. They have an instant, electrifying attraction which neither of them act upon at first. At the time, Ella is almost 18-years-old and four years younger than Gordain. He attempts to keep his distance because not only is she too young, but she's his best friend's sister. As threats are revealed, Gordain and Ella join forces to overcome the obstacles together, each coming to the rescue of the other.

Struan and Thea did not have an easy path to their happy ever after. Do they even get one? I.DON'T.KNOW. Did I mention this book ends on a cliffhanger??!!?!? I went from that naïve girl on the boat, dreaming of stolen kisses, to the one who held the key to his prison cell. I was a caught off guard when Ruin ended in a cliffhanger, but reading this book, and knowing there are more stories to come, it didn't bother me as much because it was expected. Anyhow the Dark Island Scots are definitely that.. A darker read, tormented and horrific things are done to these boys solely bc of being born or bc of greed! I loved the connection, loyalty and family these characters have made! I hated how some characters showed how horribly disgusting humans can be and treat one another just because they feel they're deserving of something even if its never theirs to claim! How the old saying "money is the root of all evil"! Well it definitely is in these books! It saddens me to know this is true in the real world as well! I hope this isn't a spoiler, but this book has dual virgins, which I loved. Scar had never even felt attraction for another woman until he first saw Breeze (which totally messed with his head since she was a naked, tied up captive at the time). Breeze was determined to infiltrate the underworld that she believes her sister is caught up in, which meant putting herself up for sale. Camden (Scar) was having no part of that, and, unable to resist his feelings for her that were so strong from day one, he sets about making her his.
