About this deal

The novel has been licensed and published in collected volumes by Yen Press since February 16, 2021. [1] Volume list [ edit ] No. The novel ends in a bit of bizarre place in the middle of the stranger raids which is book three in the comic. There are some bits which felt fleshed out and some bits which are re-arranged. It did like that the stranger raids was longer since those were entertaining. Il livello di terrore psicologico che si prova nella stanza segreta e successivamente, il sistema in sè è abbastanza paragonabile a Gantz, che mi era piaciuto moltissimo e che gli ha fatto guadagnare abbastanza punti. Retrieved May 30, 2020.I'd read this immediately after the ending of season 1 in the webtoon because it had ended in such a hype fashion I just *had* to continue the story in some way. At the beginning, it was a great read but as more chapters pass, the story got a little too nationalistic for my taste. It's a mess, but it's fine. With a decent editor and a year of revisions it could make a fine series. I thought I might give it one star, but that would be too harsh. It was actually surprisingly good fiction to read for 20 minutes to put me to sleep during the 6ish weeks I read it consistently for. I could shut my brain off while I was reading it, but it was imaginative enough that it transitioned me into sleep. There were even a couple of parts that I read during the day because I cared about the plot; however, Judging the series as a whole finds so many problems, only some of them mentioned here.

Solo Leveling is a manhwa adaptation—illustrated by Gi So-Ryeong (기소령) and Jang Sung-Rak (장성락)—of a completed series of light novels with the same title that’s written by Chu-Gong. The official blurb from the light novel did a great job of explaining the premise without spoiling anything, so I’ll copy it here: Solo Leveling, Vol. 2 (novel)". Yen Press. In a world where hunters —human warriors who possess supernatural abilities — must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation, a notoriously weak hunter named Sung Jinwoo finds himself in a seemingly endless struggle for survival. One day, after narrowly surviving an overwhelmingly powerful double dungeon that nearly wipes out his entire party, a mysterious program called the System chooses him as its sole player and in turn, gives him the extremely rare ability to level up in strength and turn anyone he kills into a loyal minion called a shadow. Jinwoo then sets out on a journey as he fights against all kinds of enemies, both man and monster, to discover the secrets of the dungeons and the true source of his powers.

years ago, after “the Gate” that connected the real world with the monster world opened, some of the ordinary, everyday people received the power to hunt monsters within the Gate. They are known as "Hunters". However, not all Hunters are powerful. My name is Sung Jin-Woo, an E-rank Hunter. I'm someone who has to risk his life in the lowliest of dungeons, the "World's Weakest". Having no skills whatsoever to display, I barely earned the required money by fighting in low-leveled dungeons… at least until I found a hidden dungeon with the hardest difficulty within the D-rank dungeons! In the end, as I was accepting death, I suddenly received a strange power, a quest log that only I could see, a secret to leveling up that only I know about! If I trained in accordance with my quests and hunted monsters, my level would rise. Changing from the weakest Hunter to the strongest S-rank Hunter!” Some people experienced this "Awakening" and were given the title of "Hunter". These Hunters possess supernatural abilities and are more powerful than an average human — Superhero vibes After becomes the powerfull hunter, cool character, not really arrogant and still keeping his beloved family. There were literally no stakes whatsoever in this story because it was pretty obvious Sung Jin Woo was gonna win without any struggle, gaining awe and admiration from the fellow characters. Naver Book Database (in Korean). Archived from the original on April 21, 2021 . Retrieved April 26, 2021. I will level (pun fully intended) myself with you; this was by far the most badass and engaging LitRPG I’ve ever read. Solo Leveling (나 혼자만 레벨업, Na Honjaman Lebel-eob) is a Korean webtoon series written by Chu-Gong and illustrated by Jang Su-Rak and Gi Si-Ryeong. It follows the adventures of Sung Jinwoo, a young and infamously incompetent Korean hunter, in his quest to become the strongest hunter of them all.

Solo Leveling takes place in an alt-universe modern-day South Korea, where magical portals leading to “dungeons” filled with malicious monsters that threaten humanity. Simultaneously, certain humans have been awakened as Hunters, people with the magical abilities to kill these monsters. Hunters come in various classes, and of various power levels that cannot be changed (cue entrance of our protag). Built around this are various international Guilds and government-funded Hunter Associations to handle these portals. All in all, think the classic RPG video game elements and you’ll have a pretty solid idea of the worldbuilding. I don't think later volumes of this series are on Goodreads (I believe there are 5), but I got most of the way through the series before giving up. I felt like we just kept going around on the merry-go-round, and I got off on what I assume was the end of the second to last round. I didn't want to go through another 6 hours to see the same thing again, but this time with a stronger boss monster after what little mystery there was had been solved, but unsatisfactorily with hand waving away the parts of the system that didn't fit the resolution. Our main protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, was an E-rank hunter, the lowest rated hunter who was so weak that he's even known as the "World's Weakest". However, given his situation at home he needed to make the money that hunters could earn by risking his live fighting monsters in low-levelled dungeons. After a dangerous and catastrophic raid at an unusually challenging D-ranked dungeon, Jin-Woo gained an ability that appears to be uniquely available only to him. This is where the title of the story came from. All hunters are awakened at a predetermined rank (which denotes the magical power innate to the person), and nothing can change that ranking. Jin-Woo now, however, has the ability to level up from experience and he sets out on a personal quest to become as powerful as he could possibly be, battling more and more powerful creatures and monsters. The story in Solo Leveling could be said to be quite unoriginal and tropey, but regardless I was hooked and went out of control binge-reading it. It took over all my reading attention for about a day and half, and even now I couldn't stop thinking about it. Set in a world where Gates that connect to Dungeons of monsters started appearing, certain powers have awakened in some of the human race to enable them to fight these monsters. The humans who fight monsters are called hunters, who are grouped into raids and divided into roles like tanks, damage dealers, mages and healers. In fact, literally every character had no distinguishable trait or personality. They all seemed to exist to be in awe of the great Sung Jin Woo, especially the women. Oh my god. The women were atrocious in this story and had virtually no personality except to blush and look longingly at the MC. One of the more important female characters is literally only identifiable for three things, 1. She's pretty and high-ranked. 2. She has a sensitive nose. 3. She likes the MC. Why does she like the MC? Oh, because he saved her multiple times when she was a helpless damsel and because he doesn't smell bad. Indicativamente questo primo volume dovrebbe racchiudere i primi dieci capitoli che, diciamo, sono l'incipit della storia, una sorta di preparazione alla storia vera e propria. This light novel was pretty interesting! Jinwoo, the main character, is like a cross of Deku and Lelouch in my opinion. I liked the video game aspects of this book, like dungeons, raids, abilities, etc. The stats and other features were cool!
