Artist Maria Rabinsky has adorned the British Isles with a beautiful assortment of iconic and characterful images that will be familiar to many of us. In celebration of this historic occasion, we are launching three new royal-themed jigsaw puzzles. Jubilee Puzzles Many of us have known nothing but Her Majesty at the throne so it is important to remember such a special period of our lives. Our late Queen Elizabeth II will be forever remembered for her grace, wit and great sense of humour whilst growing up in front of the nation and bringing a general sense of calm over Great Britain. With her colourful iconic outfits and cute corgi's we have have some superb monarch memorabilia for you! This 1000 piece puzzle has been created by the talented Robert Opie and was originally released in 2016, to celebrate Her Royal Highnesses 90th birthday. We loved the image and thought it captured the Queen’s elegance and personality perfectly, so we decided to give our customers another opportunity to appreciate the image, especially as there were only a limited number of copies printed for it’s initial release. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Our goal was to create a puzzle that can bring people together during these difficult times. So we undertook thorough research and development when designing this collection, which included care home visits, liaising with Age UK Centres and teaming up with Zoe Wryko , Consultant Geriatrician and member of the expert team on Channel 4's award-winning TV show, Old People's Home for 4 Year Olds. On 6 th February 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when she was just 25 years old.The Piecing Together Collection was created to provide those living with dementia, limited fine motor skills or visual impairments with a fun activity that can be enjoyed alone or with a loved one. Around 50 million people are estimated to be living with dementia around the world, a disease that can be isolating for both the sufferer and their family members, friends or carers. This popular jigsaw - full of royal smiles - was reissued in 2022 to mark the extraordinary seventy year reign. As the longest serving British head of state and the world's oldest reigning monarch, our amazing Queen is possibly the most photographs person in history. After leaving Bradford Art College in 1979 with a Diploma in Art and Design, Trevor began his career as an art director at a London advertising agency. He returned to his native West Yorkshire a few years later and worked for several design studios and advertising agencies before going freelance in 1986. Commercial illustration work rekindled his love of painting and he was encouraged by finding a market for his work among the publishers of greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles, and art prints of his paintings are now sold worldwide. Trevor's paintings reflect his enthusiasm for steam and vintage vehicles and his fascination with recreating the past in pictures appears frequently in Gibsons nostalgic puzzle range.
