Two songs were written by Rodgers specifically for the film, "I Have Confidence" and "Something Good". The film won five Oscars at the 38th Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The Julie Christie performance that beat Andrews is now all but forgotton. "The Sound of Music," however, lives on and on.
