Then by following the plans below, mark the cut-out (notch) area across the beams/rafters. The plan drawings below give the measurement to the first notch. That will be the same at both ends. All the intermediate notches will be spread evenly apart. Each of our 3 m x 3 m wooden pergolas is carefully designed with ease of construction in mind. The heavy-duty redwood corner posts feature a central notch design that houses the side runners. The rafters are notched at either end to aid correct alignment and joint integrity. All timber is professionally pressure treated to withstand all weather conditions. The PergoSTET textilene blinds are inset to the pergolas main beam structures. This results in the blind being better equipped to cope with breezes and better prevents blind movement than if they weren't inset. PergoSTET Pergolas come with 3 textilene side blinds, which are heat sealed at the bottom to avoid the fabric fraying. If you experience strong winds, we recommend rolling up the blinds to avoid any damage to the structure. By taking these precautions, you can help ensure the longevity and safety of your pergola and blinds during windy weather.
