After speaking to Cow and Gate, they do confirm the ingredients are the same as well as the processing methods, so technically if one is halal then the other is halal too. We are getting in touch with the Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence UK to understand their approval process, as we feel, if the 200ml is halal, then so should the 1l be. As required by legislation for all infant milk, Cow & Gate First Infant Milk contains DHA (omega-3), is nutritionally complete and suitable as a sole source of nutrition from birth and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months. Cow and Gate declare none of their products are Suitable for Vegetarians due to Fish Oils and Animal Rennet being used during processing.
