About this deal

The advice to have a CAC, coronary artery calcium scan done to find your CAS Score. I have been a radiation worker for forty years, six years with nuclear reactors, and 34 years working on diagnostic imaging equipment, X-ray machines. X-rays are not harmless, the more people who receive more exposure than absolutely necessary the more people who may suffer health issues caused by the radiation exposure. This book is so full of great information such as why we are getting heavier and heavier, insulin as a master gauge of chronic disease, fixing heart disease, the truth about cholesterol that you Dr’s not telling you, meal planning, and some of the most delicious recipes, one of which I have for you today. P262 EAT RICH LIVE LONG APOB/APO1: The Master Ratio. There are many problems with ratios. Suffice to say non-HDL cholesterol is much better. Get it under 80. Full Book Name: Eat Rich, Live Long: Mastering the Low-Carb Keto Spectrum for Weight Loss and Longevity Dr. Jeffry Gerber has no financial ties to pharmaceutical, diagnostics or medical device companies. He has no financial ties to the food industry.

Also important calculations from a common lipid panel is to calculate non-HDLc <80 and remnants <35. This book is transformational, for me at least. Like anyone reading this I've read a lot of books on healthy eating etc and have changed my eating regime tohigher fat, lower carb natural foods. Only foods my grandmother would recognise. And I knew that Type 2 diabetes is a result of insulin resistance which tself is a result of eating badly and particularly eating high carb.

Success!

The general rule that has been followed for decades has been to allow the whole society to benefit from the good things ionizing radiation provides society by minimizing average excess radiation exposure to the general public. Higher radiation exposure is permitted for radiation workers, at the risk they will have a higher probability of getting cancer, and extra steps were to be taken to lower exposure to everyone else. That last part is violated by having higher numbers of people exposed to radiation that they need not be exposed to. The second wonderful message is the importance of a CAC (Coronary Calcium CT) to determine risk for cardiovascular event along with scoring the usual risk factors. You can take control of your health, lose weight, prevent disease, and enjoy a long and healthy life. The unique nutritional program outlined in Eat Rich, Live Long is designed by experts to help you feel great while you eat delicious and satisfying foods. Millions of people have gotten healthy through low-carb plans over the years--and a growing number have discovered the wonderful benefits of ketogenic (Keto) nutrition. Many are confused, though, about how low-carb they should go. Now, Eat Rich, Live Long reveals how mastering the low-carb/Keto spectrum can maximize your weight loss and optimize your health for the long term.

I found out about this book by watching an interview with one of the authors, Ivor Cummins, on YouTube. I would never have looked at the book based on the title/cover. Jeffry N. Gerber, MD, FAAFP is a board-certified family physician and owner of South Suburban Family Medicine in Littleton, Colorado. He is widely known as Denver’s Diet Doctor. Dr. Gerber has been providing personalized healthcare to to his community since 1993 and continues that tradition with an emphasis on longevity, wellness, and prevention. Nutritional sacred cows are constantly being challenged in the media. How much fat should we eat -- and which kinds of fats are best? Which fats can contribute to diabetes, heart disease, and early mortality? Does a high-protein diet increase muscle mass and lead to vigorous health -- or can it promote aging, cancer, and early mortality? Which vitamins and minerals should we be taking, if any? How do we change our metabolism so that our bodies burn fat instead of all the sugars we consume? Does intermittent fasting really work? Eat Rich, Live Long lays out the truth based on the latest scientific research. This is a horrible title for this book. Along with the bad title we see pictures of food on the cover. This makes you think it is a diet book. Yes there is one chapter giving recipes to food that won’t kill you but that is not what this book is about.
