It is however unknown how she feels about the revamp of the blog, now called the Gory Gazette. Frankie is an adorable character with her new relationship with Brett. She is fierce, strong, and gusty. She is determined to ensure that all RADs are free from their self-imposed exile and join the monster world with the human world. Melody is learning to overcome her fears and stand up for herself. She is determined and trying to find her right footing, and she is stronger and accepting of herself. She is loyal, and you will love the role she plays in this excellent series. However, Melody confirmed earlier that there's money for a ride home in her purse, while later, she states that she can't leave because she has no money. The continuity of the Monster High book series is vastly different from the other Monster High continuities. Rather than Frankie Stein, the role of protagonist is shared between Frankie and the book-exclusive character Melody Carver, with a balance tilted in Melody's favor. Each of the books tells an ongoing story through the eyes of one selected character. In the case of the first book, it's Frankie Stein, the second book is about Cleo de Nile, the third about Clawdeen Wolf, and the fourth one about Draculaura. The thirteenth chapters of all four books are missing from those books and were released on special occasions. The thirteenth chapters focus on Ghoulia Yelps.

Draculaura is best friends with Clawdeen Wolf, and the two have accepted Frankie Stein within their group. Draculaura's outgoing nature has earned her many other friends too, including Lagoona Blue, Ghoulia Yelps, Spectra Vondergeist, Abbey Bominable and Cleo de Nile. Frankie and Viveka go to the Apple store to redeem their phone vouchers. While there, Frankie befriends a few Lady Gaga fans watching her latest music video. She reveals she has been a “little monster” her whole life, but before she can elaborate further, she’s dragged out by a furious Viveka, who reprimands Frankie for revealing her RAD status. Frankie explains the term being used for Lady Gaga’s fans not connected to the RADs in any way. Viveka notes Frankie handling the situation well, and Frankie reveals she focuses on it as a way to not think of Brett. Melody, meanwhile, turns her attention to finding out the truth of her parentage from her mother. After dodging the topic for a long while, she finally confronts her mother, whose surprised expression confirms Melody’s suspicions, and she runs out of the house.
