About this deal

Capacity. When it comes to capacity, power stations usually have the upper hand. A typical Anker portable power stationcan come with an impressive 2048Wh—that's way larger than any power bank can offer.

I got the full 8.2A off the car outlet on the EcoFlow River Max – which at 13.5V equates to around 110W. This would charge the unit from flat in around 14-18 hours. Car charging port also accepts 24V input The Delta 2 Max is EcoFlow's top-tier portable power station with phenomenal performance, plenty of ports, expandability, and solar input. This model even has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity which pairs with a companion app, allowing for even more detailed control and metrics.★★★★★ So you might have heard of power banks and power stations before—they're both great options for keeping your devices charged on the go. But what's the difference between the two? Let's take a look. I also measured the capacity with an AC load running a 2KW heater at half power at around 970W. I used an energy monitoring plug and measured 1904Wh. We should get less capacity under AC due to inverter losses so I imagine the monitoring plug is over estimating usage. I did try with another energy monitoring plug and this time got 1808W but this still seems high. These measurements are useful to compare to other portable power stations I’ve tested, but the electronic load tester provides the most accurate measurement so I’d consider 1544Wh the true capacity of the unit. AC200P doesn’t get hot even under heavy loadThe US/JP plug standard has 6 AC outlets (100-120V), while the UK/European plug standard has 3 AC outlets (220-240V). Enernova ETA Ultra (2150Wh): Best of the three, sporting 2160Wh, 87% usable capacity and still charges in under two hours. Monster Power Grid 300 (296Wh): The Power Grid 300 can be slow to charge, but did test at over 90% usable capacity. It has all the bells and whistles you'd expect at this level at a price that's potentially a tad high.

With the AC switch turned on, if the portable power bank is powered on with no further operations, the standby power consumption will be automatically set to no output if it is between 15W to 25W, and the machine will automatically shut down after 8 hours. When you’re on your adventure and need to charge your equipment the Goal Zero Yeti 3000X has everything covered. With 2x 2.4A USB-A Ports, 60W USB-C PD Port (Input/Output), 18W USB-C Port, 12V Car Port, and a 230V AC / 50 Hz Inverter (2000W, 3500W surge) output. Under Settings you can switch between 50Hz and 60Hz, change the DC input mode from solar to car, toggle Eco mode and change the display language. With Eco mode on the unit will shut off the AC power after 4 hours if the output is less than 50W. I’d recommend turning this off if you want to run anything low powered that you want to stay on, like a phone charger or a low powered fridge.

Need Expert Advice on the Bluetti PowerOak AC200P 2000Wh Portable Power Station?

In terms of performance, the AFERIY Portable Power Station delivers on its promises. It can power a range of devices, from small electronics like phones and laptops to larger appliances like refrigerators and power tools. The power station also comes with multiple output options, including AC, DC, and USB ports, so you can connect different types of devices. Anker Solix F2000 (2,048Wh): Previously known as the Anker PowerHouse 767 and previous winner of "best large portable power station" here on CNET. This model has lots to offer by way of features and options -- pretty much anything other than wireless charging. It also performed quite well on our usable capacity and charge time tests. A dedicated UPS could have a transfer time (the amount of time it takes for its battery to take over one the grid power has failed) of anywhere from 0 to 12 milliseconds, and most of them try to stay at 8 milliseconds or faster. The majority of portable power stations now offer transfer times of "less than" 20 or 30 milliseconds. That's great as far as portable power stations go. But as a dedicated UPS that you might want protecting a core piece of tech or important medical device, you might consider a different solution. But by all means, your TVs, laptops, fridges and other devices will be well looked after.

The Goal Zero Yeti can power: smartphones, laptops, refrigerators, lights, tools, and many other appliances. Clear and easy to read Display of the Goal Zero Yeti. Unlike the EcoFlow this AC200P doesn’t have a UPS function where it can run off mains directly and then switch to battery in the event of a power outage. But it does support pass-through charging so you could use it in a similar fashion to power essential items whilst plugged into the mains and then the fully charged battery would power these items if the power goes out. This wouldn’t be ideal longer term for battery health but I used it like this to plug in all my broadband and WiFi equipment when we were having regular power cuts recently. Performance:The BioLite BaseCharge 1500 offers wall outlet performance anywhere. We can run multiple ports at a time, and has a great range of ports that can be plugged in. The maximum output is 1200W and a surge possibility of 2400W. The solar panels can charge the BaseCharge in a matter of 4 hours if you are using the maximum of four 100W panels.Goal Zero Yeti 200X:: The Goal Zero products are solidly made, but we did get the lowest score in our 'usable capacity' tests from this unit -- about 65% compared to the industry-accepted norm of 85%. There are better products in the small portable power station category. The PowerHouse 767 is Anker's (Anker Solix)'s flagship portable power station, and it shows. It has a wide range of ports, great capacity, easy maneuverability and a built in light bar. What more could you ask for? ★★★★★ The most impressive feature of the AC200P is its charging capabilities, particularly off solar. I didn’t have enough solar panels or sun to realise its 700W maximum input off solar, but being able to mix and match whatever solar panels you have makes it very flexible. You could start with 2 or 3 panels and add more panels over time. It’s just a shame that you’ll typically need at least 2 panels to satisfy the power station’s minimum voltage requirements. On a day with sunny spells in April in the UK I got a maximum of just under 280W off this setup. If you tap on the PV icon you can see the voltage was around 60V and I was getting around 4.5 to 5A.
