About this deal

Never a dropped device connection!! The Netgear would constantly drop devices from the network requiring a reboot (angry face emoji). Currently the system has ~ 60 connected devices and not 1 has ever dropped. Find the appropriate section with the custom changes in the config output, for our example above it would be the following: You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: we complemented our aggregator Unifi Switch 24 with a 16 POE-150W switch so that we can support current and future PoE devices like the Cloud Key Gen 2, Ubiquiti Unifi WiFi APs, and Ubiquiti Unifi Protect video cameras

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. Used to feed redundant DC power to the UDM-Pro, and 2nd generation Pro/Enterprise switches that support it. Not a switch, but does have an in-band Ethernet management port. For outdoor applications, shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded through the AC ground of the power supply. One potential problem with the UXG-Pro is the current state of the UDM-Pro and UniFi OS. Some features on the UDM-Pro are not working, incomplete, buggy, or just missing. Development for the Dream Machines has been steady, but after 9 months, the UXG is still on on beta firmware version 0.5.0.

With the USG Pro 4, our WAN throughput with both IPS and DPI enabled is 479 Mbps up and 647 Mbps down, as reflected on the USG Pro 4’s new speed test. Recommended ConfigurationGigabit routing is no issue, but firewall and encryption speeds are limited, with slightly higher limits than the USG. I remember something similar a while ago when trying to adopt a USG into an existing network using a statically assigned IP raspberry pi as controller.. I changed subnets around and tried to mess with it a bunch of different ways. It DID NOT want to be adopted. SFP ports are hot-swappable and support 10/100/1000 fiber SFP modules. If an SFP module is plugged in, then the SFP port is active, and the corresponding WAN port is deactivated. By default, the SFP1 port is set to DHCP Client.

The fans in the USG and switch are on the loud side. Fortunately for me I have the system in a separate room in the basement so noise isn't an issue. A comprehensive overview of your Network Health is readily available in the new dashboard. Monitor your network’s vitals and make on-the-fly adjustments as needed. Use the configurable reporting and analytics to monitor large user groups and expedite troubleshooting. Advanced search and sorting capabilities make network management more efficient.

as described below, even the USG Pro 4 is unable to make full use of a symmetrical gigabit Internet connection with both IPS and DPI enabled (even before enabling QOS). as noted by many other consumers, there is the persistent, loud, high-pitch fan noise. Even though our switching gear is in a closed data closet, I can hear the USG Pro 4’s fan noise upstairs in my study. Product arrived in NEW condition. Was a tad complicated to setup ONLY because my current network was already using a similar IP range 192.168.1.1 so if you have something already on that IP, you will have to fiddle with things. For most people, this won't be an issue. I found it easier to just hook my laptop up to the LAN1 port, and configure it that way. Then once configured to my network in the 10.x.x.x range everything worked beautifully. Tons of stats, beautiful stats... it knows all the types of traffic and is one of the best routers I have ever owned. I live in an APT and this is overkill but, it's what I wanted. A quality, powerful, router... there are so many options it's going to take me ages to dig into them all.. but, it runs "out of the box" on my network with very little configuration. The only problem that took me a long time was my old network conflicted with this device and created problems... but, overall.. i'm super happy with this piece of technology!

Basically a UDM-Pro without the built-in UniFi OS Console, 8-port Ethernet switch, or 3.5” HD bay for UniFi Protect.

Standard warranty: 1-year

RJ45 serial console port for Command Line Interface (CLI) management. Use an RJ45-to-DB9 serial console cable, also known as a rollover cable, to connect the Console port to your computer. Then configure the following settings as needed:
