About this deal

Tate Brandt was a wonderful heroine, so strong and resilient, smart and mature. I loved everything about her. However I did not care for her “friend” K.C.

Jenn: Tessa-Just wanted you to know as I believe you are the one that went crazy for it on here…I am reading “Boys of Brayshaw High” I was hooked just in the first few chapters.

How to Vote

Ashley: Omg I’m reading Untouchable and I just don’t know! It all feels so wrong! I don’t think I’ve ever read such a dark romance. Zsadist! Let her go!” Another male, this one with a long head of hair, jogged across the vast floor. “Let her go, Z.” Well, not too long. In fact, there’s a killer on the loose and he (or she) is not happy about a girl enrolled at Adamson All-Boys Academy. Plus, add in some suspicious members of the student council–Church, Ranger, Spencer, Micah, and Tobias–and she has herself one hectic semester ahead. I'm not going to take away from Douglas's narrative in the fact that it is compulsively readable and that it starts off with a heroine that does stand up for herself in the face of torments that she endures from the people who surround her. "Bully" had me, I went along with the story for a while. But then it lost me as it became clear that in all the measures surrounding this story, it glorifies falling in love with someone who torments you. Regardless of whatever issues the hero had, it doesn't justify what he did to Tate, and I sincerely doubt after all that Jared did, Tate could forgive and lust after him as easily as she did. Lisa: Tangled by Em Wolf. Adonis Benoit. First class bully. Megalomanic narcissist is how he’s described!! …Great bully book.

Jess was vying for captain of the cross-country team this fall, and competing was one experience in high school that I would miss. The Peer and the Puppet (When Rivals Play Book 1) by B.B. Reid <— Jamie & Tessa (and more!!) loved this one!! Janet: I just wrote this in your What to Read After Fifty Shades of Grey comments but then thought I’d throw it here too. i really recommend Laurelin Paige’s’ duet series, Dirty Filthy Rich Men and Dirty Filthy Rich Love – the story of Donovan and Sabrina! A good roller coaster ride through hot obsession, with some angst, some heart wrench and a buffet of good characters to love and loathe.

Like many of Blume’s novels, this one is enduringly relevant. While some of the references may elude young readers, the realistic ways kids speak and act—taking teasing too far until it escalates into physical bullying—make Blubber both a compelling story and an important look at the harm kids can do to one another. Northernstar: One of my last top reads of 2018 was Untouchable by Sam Marino. The first 10% was a tough read but after that I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the push and pull of the two main characters and by the end I believed in their story. That’s all I’ll say about that one… There was a time when I had all of his attention and loved it. As much as I wanted him to leave me alone, I also liked how he seemed surprised. I liked the way he was looking at me right now. And then I remembered that I hated him.” MichelleS: And Lhan in Golden Dynasty was a bad bad bad big warrior who did bad bad things to our heroine… and I FORGAVE him for it… go figure….”

All in all, I'm glad I read this book. If you enjoy the Young Adult/New Adult genre then you will more than likely LOVE this story. Considering the characters were in high school, I would classify this book Young Adult. Definitely a mature Young Adult, as it was fairly steamy.
