Mulching Mower vs Regular Mower Advantages of Mulching The Cobra MX3440V mower requires that the user inserts a key into the machine, to activate the power. This is a much needed additional safety feature especially around children. If you have a large garden and want to minimise your environmental footprint when mowing, the Cobra MX4140V is a bigger, slightly sturdier option. The battery is quite large and I have cut our averagely sized lawn twice now and the battery still has three quarters of a charge. The battery is easy to put in and take out of the mower too. This is one of the cheapest and simplest lawn mowers that Cobra makes right now, because it has a small cutting width, and needs to be plugged in at all times when mowing. This lawn mower comes with a 2-year warranty. The price is reasonable for what you get with this machine. On compatible lawn mowers, a mulch plug is inserted to close the chute to the grass bag. What is the best mower height for mulching grass? In terms of performance this Cobra MX4140V really gave me a lot of confidence, and when I compare to all the other similar sized cordless mowers I have tested, this Cobra comes out on top (who needs petrol!). Cobra petrol lawn mowers in particular are known to be tough, and very well made. The company actually has a separate line of lawn mowers designed specifically for professional gardeners. You won’t find flimsy plastic grass boxes, like on some cheaper mowers.
Quality Lawnmower
The only other hitch came when putting on the grass box. The instructions don’t say to remove the cover caps first. It was only when one fell off as I repeatedly tried to clip the box on that I realized it even had cover caps. See? Idiot!
From looking at it, you might notice the amount of plastic on the chassis and grass box. This mower doesn’t feel extremely sturdy when compared to Cobra’s petrol engine mowers. However, it’s still durable, despite feeling quite lightweight. New for 2015. Cobra have bought out a range of Li-ion machines. The MX4140V is a 16″ push lawnmower with a 40V li-ion battery. Key Features Another Bosch feature that most appreciate is their ErgoSlide handles. They are comfortable and easy to adjust. This makes the mower versatile and it can be used by anyone. This hybrid grass box is beautifully strong and durable yet offers excellent circulation, so you really are getting the best of everything. Extra batteries are expensive for this model, and it is difficult to find cheaper third-party batteries.In my experience, the Cobra MX3440V cordless lawn mower is practical for my garden because of its narrow design. However, this also means more trips up and down the lawn to get the job done. I also noticed that there are no grass combs behind the front wheels, so it doesn’t cut as close to the edge as I’d like it to.
It has a powerful 56V Li-Ion battery which is a top performer in this category. The design also reduces overheating and prevents shutdowns. The charger is included and is fast and effective.
