About this deal

Cheating: Not IMO The H does allow the h's step-sister (he doesn't realize that's who she is) to give him a bj and the h walks in on them. At this point they had been spending some time together and had kissed but weren't in a relationship, so I don't consider it really cheating but I'm sure others will

There’s something about relishing all of my control to him that makes me feel at peace or maybe a little powerful.

Just at the moment when the secrets started coming out, it was the end and I wanted to continue with reading. Things change on the first day of their senior year when he starts bullying her face to face. He wants her and she is putty in his hands. There are also a lot of secrets at play. Elsa is being raised by her aunt and uncle since her parents died when she was young. She doesn’t remember anything before she woke up in the hospital and doesn’t want to remember. Gavin, ever the playboy had no desire to settle down. However, after spending three years without his wingman he knew he wanted more than just one night stands. Whitley's return opened his eyes to his true feelings, if only he could convince her to give a relationship between them a chance. His plan, ask her to pose as his girlfriend for a wedding for a family member in Texas with the hope she would come to realise they were meant to be. Whitley agrees, but like all things that are built on lies his plan takes a disastrous turn.

Bland writing ✔( a little suggestion again to author, the least sexy way to describe someone sexy is to not use the word sexy) The book was already unnecessary long with bland writing and repetitive dialogues and scenes that author dare to bore us with these inner conflicting thoughts! OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes The H is super possessive and gets jealous when other men are around the h, and the h is hurt by the scene she walks in on (see cheating spoiler below) Deviant King is the first book in a series, so be prepared for a cliffhanger ending. I got enough answers for me to not feel super frustrated by it, but it still left me reeling. I can't wait for the next installment, Steel Princess! Hopefully, we finally get some of Aiden's POV, because so far, the story has been in Elsa's entirely. The first book of that duet was good. This book reminded me of that duet when there was a mention of Elsa LOSING her memories (could memories be a euphemism for brain cells? Hmm, I wonder.) after being in an accident. I remember something similar happened to the h in All The Lies. I don’t know what’s the author’s fixation with making her heroines suffer from amnesia (when they already suffer from STUPIDITY) suffering two terminal diseases must be hard. Elsa might not have my respect but she has my (reluctant) sympathy.

This book was basically a girl accidentally tumbling into the guy she hides from and him making her conquest because he doesn't like that she doesn't fancy him. That's it. It is just pettiness and childishness. Even the way Levi and Astrid (more like Assrid) behaved was immature - taking turns to taunt each other but not keeping up to their roles of actually hurting one another 🙄 Like I get it, he played small little mind games being cold and hot, being cringly-possessive. But that's literally what cold men do in every single book, and it's not really considered as bullying. The problem is that Levi was involved in some way and wants her to drop the investigation into the hit and run. So he begins to bully her, when before he had never known she existed. Astrid liked being invisible and doesn’t want that to change, but when the most popular guy in school pays attention to you, it is difficult to be invisible. Cruel King involves three of my favorite tropes -- friends to lovers, right guy, wrong time, and he falls first. For this couple, it was clear they were right for each other, but could they get out of their way to see how perfect they are together? Before seeing how right they are for each other, they must deal with secrets, forgiveness, and acceptance. The best part of their story is how Gavin never tried to change Whitley, who had always been told she was too much.

He reaches out a forefinger and taps my nose twice. “Guess you have to fight me and find out what that something is.” The Dragon King is overprotective, but he knows that one day Yuu will achieve her dream, and he supports her to the best of his ability. He grants Yuu his blessing as she ventures out to explore the surrounding areas – if he secretly tags along to help her out, well, what Yuu doesn’t know won’t hurt her. With recent releases like Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West, a relatively understated release like this might have flown under your radar. You might be familiar with The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince though. It’s not a direct prequel to The Cruel King and the Great Hero, but with the same developers and storybook-esque aesthetic, there are some similarities. It’s a brand-new story, but chances are, if you liked the former, you’ll probably like this game.

He is considered as the most dangerous and cruel ruler in the history because he exercises greater political power than any dictator. He was responsible for the death of more than 20 million of its own people during his 29 years of rule. TANAZ: "Astrid is a dumb little hoe with body betraying syndrome, how you gonna let Levi bully you and then get wet when he touched your RIBS. #justiceforqueennicole" Gavin and Whitley have been each other's wing man for many years, they don't have a typical friendship, they're flirty friends but it works for them. That is until they went on holiday three years ago and everything changed. The line they've been flirting with, they finally cross and it is so much more than they could of imagined. But when they return home, outside forces and Whitley's insecurities cause her to run to L.A which is where she stayed...until now!I don’t think I need to say this is a great hook for a story. In fact, my problems with the game don’t really have anything to do with the narrative as it stands; for one, while the plot device is rather glib, the game is still clearly meant to be suitable for children. Many of the game’s sidequests seem primed as opportunities to teach some sort of moral or lesson, either to Yuu or perhaps even the player in a roundabout way. There’s a sidequest chain where you have to help an elderly monster by the name of Nathan fulfill his last few desires, by finding gourmet treats for his last meal. Or what about the tension between two different monster clans, and how a simple misunderstanding led to such a long-running feud between former lovers? Almost all of the sidequests have genuinely touching stories, to the point where I would love to recommend that players experience them all – but the problem, much like with everything else surrounding the game’s story, is how the gameplay actively gets in the way of whatever feelings the game is attempting to convey.
